I have this mouse and paid more than this for it, but don't regret it.

If you're looking for a decent mouse for near the tenner mark, can't do much better.

If you want to spend more money, get one of the Logitech MX mice.

All mice should work out the box with a Mac.
#6
is this USB?

is this USB?

yup

No negative acceleration either. Great mouse for a great price. I'm tempted even though I have an Intellimouse Explorer 3.0
#9
Can you preset autofire on this mouse?
#10

probably true, but those two brands together just isn't right (_;)

very nice

One thing about lazer mice I read is that they continue to track movement even if you lift the mouse a bit to reposition it (say in an FPS game). Does this happen with this mouse?

Happens to my Gigabyte optical mouse too
#15
You won't notice it as a problem over any other optical mice. High sensitivity plus very accurate tracking with my last couple of laser mice (currently a Logitech G9X) has meant I rarely need to lift and reposition at all anyway, I can run at higher sensitivities with less wrist and desk movement without losing my edge :)

Hot, had this ordered from Play but they seem to be so slow at getting stock in. Thanks OP.
#17
Which is better Microsoft Sidewinder X3 Mouse or Logitech MX518?
#18
Probably the logtitech, but for £12 I'm gonna try this out, had my G5 for 5 years now so naturally its time for a change, or at least an attempt at a change.
#19
Good spot. Have some heat.
#20
Hot price for a mouse of this spec, but Logitech ones are better if that's more important :)
#21
:( Ordered from 7dayshop a month ago and never got nothing! Had to go through trading standards (isle of man i think it was) to get my money back.

Never again, poor customer service!

Don't say that. Had my g5 that long and was just thinking it must still be as good as this, right?

It probably is to be honest. the g5 is still one of the best mice around, and mine still works fine after 5 years of solid use. but its discoloured and in a poor state surface wise, but mechanically it is sound. If this microsoft one is crap then I will pass it down to my brother when i build him a gaming rig in the summer, or to my GF who uses her laptop tracking pad lol

Thanks for the heads up, ordered

I'm guessing the MX518?
#26
thanks, replaced my logitech g3 mouse!
