Very good if thinking of a notebook, tablet or ipad.

Tempting, going to try and hold out for 2 though

Brilliant tab/PC. The SO2 is even better if you have the funds.

Easily worth the money, feels like a tablet but proper x86 support. The only real letdown is the battery but it's 'manageable' - you can't have everything!
#5
Just pulled the trigger on a surface pro 3. .

Sorry I meant SP2. Autocorrect! :)

Agree that the battery could be better, but you have to remember that it is much more powerful than a tablet. The Pro has an i5 3rd Gen and the Pro 2 has a 4th Gen Haswell processor. Top stuff!

Mine was £675 for the i5 128Gb 4 GB.

Had it about a week.

It is my favourite Surface ever.

Its too heavy to be a tablet
#12
Yeah... finally caved in and upgraded from my Surface 2 to the Pro 3 i5 256GB.
#13
i have one and use it all the time, i bought Microsoft's wedge keyboard and mouse to use with it, everything about it is great, boot time, how it works.. i would like a surface 3 but not just yet.. you won't regret using it, and don't forget about Office 365 for the latest Office Suite..

Good price. However also consider Looking at a dell venue pro 11. Similar price to this and slightly better spec. think the processor is 4th gen too. the dell tablet is a lot thinner. Dell outlet do refurb for same price as this. That is what I opted for recently and very happy.

Troll?

Anyway, this thing is a PC. An x86 PC. Oh and it's a tablet too. Buy it a keyboard and it's also a laptop. Good luck buying all three for the same money!

£471. Got a relative bringing me one from US. Play with it for a while, probably get bored and then make three hundred pound on amazon...

When they put a sim in one they'll be worth having

You've linked to a Windows RT powered Surface. Anyway to the person who posted it needs a SIM card - why would you need one? Tethering is much cheaper, no need to pay for another data line.

Had two of the Dell Venue 11 Pros (the proper i5 version not the Atom), it should have been the perfect device but has major issues with waking from sleep, just Google it, there are other problems like random freezing and battery drain (as the device is on when it shouldn't be and doesn't react to the power button properly). So sent those back - Surface Pro never had these issues.

Sorry, my bad.
long day.
I agree the amount extra you have to pay you might as well just tether it and use your mobile allowance.

The only Surface worth getting is SP3, which allows you change the angle of the display when you are using it on a desk. Used Surface (RT) version and liked everything about it but the screen angle. I'd say this is a good price but your neck will also pay the price.

office 365 is terrible. just pray you dont get problems. ive had issues opening office docs, installing, disappearing install authentication., disappearing installs, unable to reinstall, security is also woeful
