This deal also (like the Curry's one) says it doesn't include the Pen. Odd.

Not really you want the 8GB model as a minimum for the truly fluid Windows 10 computing experience.

It says 'no pen in the bundle'. Mistype ?

Normally comes with a pen apparently.

Anyone think this would do as a work laptop plugged into a wiresless keyboard, mouse and HD screen?

That's half the point of these machines

second comments from most. this is great and send to handle most stuff I throw at it. only thing I would say is I get a lot of blue screens of death with it (apparently associated with the camera), but assume it's a software thing so hopefully resolved with updates. Great for work and play. check out tips videos on YouTube to get the best from it. :)

So this makes the deals to get a free xb1s look a bit rubbish now. Could have saved yourself about £170 right. Or have I missed something

Weren't the free Xbox deals only available on the top spec models which aren't reduced at present.

"This bundle does not include the Surface Pen, but it is available separately.

"Box contents: Microsoft Surface Pro 4 12" Tablet, Black type cover, AC power adapter"

4-5 hours apparently. No where near as good as my spectre x360 but will do for the wife.

Excellent price, wifes Xmas present sorted.

Does it specify what colour the typecover is?

Ha literally comparing this to potentially getting a Spectre x360 as we speak. Welcome your thoughts on the Spectre and its increased price vs this.

Curry's employee here, I checked out stock and can confirm that the surface pen is not included.

if you know you will never use the pen, don't buy it.
From my point of view, the pen is the reason why I bought it. BTW, it is a fantastic machine. Mine is i5, 128GB and 4GB RAM.

Pen is 44.99 so cheaper to buy separately
#39
If you arent getting the pen why bother? What youve then done is paid a premium for a form factor which you cant properly exploit. If you want to do that, get a laptop? Sorry but just dont get it - was all up for this deal but lack of pen is a deal breaker.

Depends on what you want to do. I found 4GB sufficient enough for most task. I even run light mathematic simulation and 3D modeling on the machine. It is not designed for those and I'm happy for what I got.
