OMG!
Now 799! Bought 2nd one, previous one was for 949 and it was good deal.
Got 2 now... This is steal! Hope is legit sale! Paid by credit card so no worries...
Seller look OK, I call him and he confirm that deal include type cover and dock (paid by credit card anyway in case its not...)
Also I dont know why, but deal is only available under "with pen" offer, not under "with pen and type cover" for some reason..
Seller confirmed deal so looks good to be, maybe I'm wrong...

Scam.

The Amazon sellers marketplace is full of scams and dodgy products that are dangerous to use (chargers that explode for example). I've stopped buying *anything* from the marketplace as a result. Companies like Apple are pro-actively buying products on Amazon sold as either official or authorized products, discovering the vast majority are nothing of the sort, and taking legal action to protect their brand.

m3 - £799 down to £599 + Typecover = seems legit from MS
i5 4GB 128GB - £899 down to £699 + Typecover = seems legit from MS
i7 8GB 256GB - £1299 down to £799 + Typecover = you're having a laugh mate.
Might be stolen, used, refurbished, non UK imported.

There are 7640 businesses registered at their business address of 71-75 SHELTON STREET
COVENT GARDEN
LONDON
LONDON
WC2H 9JQ.
Not sure what that tells you, if anything but thought I'd mention it.
Their phone number is in Manchester.
That's quite a commute tbf

Ah right. I can't see one and I'm using my mobile. I only have the option to contact them as a message through Amazon.

Yes, because its business address that anyone can buy to register company to hide it. I mean if you don't want clients to coming to you, sending you junk mails etc that's what you do. You need this to register your company for VAT with H&R. Quick example, imagine you working from home, as you have lots space to stock staff, would you want everyone to know where you have this stocked??
BTW I wouldn't suggest to buy this if you not pay by credit card or at least paypal.

The number on Amazon is based in Manchester. But their address on Amazon and even Companies House says Covent Garden, which should be 0207xxxxxxx.

You can register your buisness to london adress as well... Its not proof that company is not genuine. They not - just launched, they have positives there. You decide to try or not - I let you know did mine x2 comes in or hsbc will act in my name...
Countdown starts - 10 left.

"We're sorry. This item is no longer available from the seller you selected."

Did I just miss out or was I saved by the bell!!!

Good Luck marcz, Seller is no longer a Registered User on Ebay. Could be many reasons why

Also a 24 Year Old Mr Kareem who can source and sell Surface Pro 4s at a such a low price that are even far less than Microsoft would sell at lowest Cost price to a retailer who can buy them in the thousands at a time.

All things point to this deal being legit

Black Friday, lots of gullible people out there looking for what seems a huge bargain will normally buy without any due diligence, if its too good to be true..... well you know the answer

Also be aware, unless law has changed, Section 75 CCA and Credit Card Protection is not valid on 3rd party transactions, i.e those processed through another gateway, such as Paypal and Amazon

Just you that's probably screwed and £1748 out of pocket for a while, or he might be totally legit yet as a business owner, a complete buffoon who has no idea how to run one

You are absolutely correct.
I've just re read marcz comments and you have found something there.
"It's not my money so who cares" encouraging people to buy without thinking.
Plus they added section 75 info to their other post which could be misleading..

He's definitely affiliated with the seller, encouraging people to buy.
There's a reason the dispatch time is 1-5th Dec. Enough time for payments to clear into their accounts. Cash withdrawal, money in hand, first flight out of UK. Job done.
Sure buyers will get their money back through protection, but still, seller probably gets away with it. And banks will have to pay for it.

Yes, he is my brother... I was hunting for surface for while, missed xbox deal and get over excited with this... And I didnt know Amazon is not covered when buy via credit card - I don't buy there often...I canceled 799 purchased as 949 was too late to cancel and don't want risk 1700+... Sorry all, I may keep just browsing hotukdeals as Im not too good advertising...

Marcz,

I took a risk on this too and I spoke to the seller as you did a day or two ago. It is risky but I found a link to the ebay store mentioned above http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=bizo_uk&rt=nc

From this you can see he is strong seller with good feedback (1600 sales) who even sold a few Surface Pro's amongst the mobile range he used to sell on the eBay store. In the current Amazon store he is also selling the other products that he used to sell on eBay. I don't know why he changed platforms... maybe he is getting rid of all the stock or needed cashflow to buy more mobiles.

Also I think we will be covered by the Amazon guarantee https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=3149571

Finally, if it was fraud why would he put it out of stock and not keep selling and what about all the other items he is selling that are still instock. Like the GO PRO 4 - a number one selling item that only he is selling this would mean loads of people would be hit by fraud.

I will drop him a line Monday to learn more and update the forum. Thats as positive as I can be for now. Time will tell.

Hello all, on his eBay page it now says that he is no longer a registered user. I don't know much about what this means but I'm sure it's not positive.

that is exactly what I thinked. I also seen he been serving some happy customers of surfaces before. O wouldn't question it , bu ti just cannot understand his logic... He sold 10 of them in 15 min for 949 - i thinked that was a great deal. then 799 for another 10? why not sell all for 949 in 20 min instead? I spoke already with amazon and they said to be amazon marketplace is covered with 2500 £ policy so they will take legal action against any fraud sellers and refund our money from their pocket. so a bit relief. must be more carfull next time. I was sure I'm covered with credit card, I belive paypal is way to go with amazon. should be essential as on ebay... I still got hope even for 949 , time will tell...

This is getting delivered to work and I'm out a lot, so unlikely to be around until the next day to pick it up. I hope it's a new brick and not covered in cement!
