Shame they don't show you the receiver in the pic, which is almost as big as the mouse! :x
#4
upz... I thought it was the laptop mouse 5000
#5
That was last week. Tiny little thing with Bluetooth :)
#6
Decent mouse but no recharging dock? Bit of a pain if you use it a lot.

Still a hot price though.

Here's the Microsoft UK link for the full lowdown:

3yr warranty! Pair of alkaline AA batteries apparently last a good few months :)

Not sure about the mouse, but this does seem to be the receiver see http://www.misco.ie/productinformation/~90634~/Microsoft%20Wireless%20Laser%20Mouse%205000.htm

For £10 you can't really go wrong.

Voted HOT and very tempted but I really want a quality cordless mouse and keyboard, to replace my Logitech, for PC use and specifically for CAD work. Has anybody seen deals ?

As an after thought can you get a wireless MS keyboard to connect to the mouse receiver?
#16
I have this mouse, paid £35 two years ago. Its very good, the receiver is big but the batteries only need changing once ever 6 months so the rechargeable dock isnt an issue. Mine went wrong a few weeks ago as the rubber came off the wheel, I phoned Microsoft and they sent me a new one for free - not bad!

£25 at Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Wireless-Laser-Mouse-5000/dp/B000F5FRGC

I agree about the battery life, AAs might sound lame but in my old MS mouse the batteries literally lasted 6 months. Voted hot

Got one last year, but the scroll wheel went recently. Doesn't scroll much now! Decent price still though.

Great find. Bought as a backup (and for use from my bed) for my Logitech G4.

Good mouse for good money. I am using this mouse for one year (I think) and so far so good.
#22
Every wireless mouse I have ever used (3) has had a bit of a time lag to it when moving so I've taken them all back. they seem to stick a bit then jump to where they should be. Is this something I would have to put up with, if I bought one of these?
#23
I want my old MS Wireless Mouse 2.0 back :-(
I don't like the tiltwheel feature on the 5000; if you click the middle button/wheel and you do not press down exactly straight, the click doesn't work (because it thinks you want to tilt).
This is an outstanding price for the 5000 though.

ordered - thanks OP , i have a wireless 4 way scrolling MS mouse (+ KB combo) at work and I miss the 4way at home, job done !

ps. if the battery is ANYTHING like my one in work it (which I use +8 hours a day) it will last 6 months no problem (in fact I can only remember changing the batteries once in 1.5 years ..... ) hmm

Really nice find! i was looking for the 'natural' version of this, but can't find it for a reasonable price! this just might have to do!!

Super deal, I have been looking to buy one of these happy christmas to me:thumbsup:
#30
superb find, ordered one to replace my dell mice
#31
it's out of stock

I have one of these & can vouch for it. Good battery life, good reception, responsive, nice quality/feel. Paid nearly £30 18 months ago. Definitely bargain price.
#33
great find for MS mouse
#34
Used to swear by MS mice, but had this one and another recently and really struggled with the scroll wheel on both. Found it to lack the 'click' that you feel when scrolling up and down. Makes browsing the internet etc a real pain if your used to scrolling up and down web pages a lot.

Other than that, ergonomically its an excellent mouse, but I much prefer the logitech one that I replaced it with...
#35
Thought this was the laptop mouse and I had been mugged off for £13.50! My laptop one was despatched today but this looks good too.
#36
Great mouse for the price. My batteries have been in nearly 8 months now and still don't need to be changed, on the computer 3-4 hours a day too.

It's the surface you're using them on. Try a different mouse pad, or a sheet of paper...

I've got the 8000 and the middle button is very, very stiff
