That's before the £10 google checkout discount and postage being added.

Excellent, just ordered at £27.91 using Google Checkout.

I would go for this except that the mouse only has 2 buttons. I use the extra 2 a lot on my logitech mouse to flick back and forth through webpages and folders....

Or can I do that with the horizontal action on the wheel?

Ta!

Just ordered ..a difficult decision cos the logitech looks excellent value....went for the Microsoft because I already have that mouse on another PC and it is so comfy in my hand...so that was a major influence.
#12
Nice edi and matt_james27 :) Thanks!

I've got one of these that I bought for £29.99 (inc delivery) from www.lowestonweb.com and I'd recommend it - it's brilliant. Battery life in both the mouse and keyboard has been over 6 months so far and still going!

Why when I posted this deal did it get absolutely no interest whatsoever?!

#15
Welcome to HUKD Gavin01 :)

600+ in stock and now even cheaper £27.83 delivered..
#16
I just ordered the MS one as the mouse is universal. Being a lefty means many mice are uncomfortable.
A mate of mine has this keyboard and says it's brilliant. Seeing it cheap on this forum sold it for me!

It features two programmable thumb buttons and two unique buttons along the top next to your index finger. The first is a rocker switch for zooming in and out of digital photos, Web pages, and so on. The button behind it returns the view to 100 percent.

from CNET review here http://reviews.cnet.com/Logitech_EasyCall_Desktop/4505-3134_7-32079056.html

Logitech keyboard owns the microsoft one. It has so many more feutures like laser mouse with extra buttons and the whole VOIP thing an also looks a lot better.
#19
Im going for the Logitech one. Seems to have more features.
#20
But I thought logitech wireless mice ate batteries?

I got a free logitech cordless desktop quite a while back - a great bargain by saying I was interested in a free sample for my business (non-existant one, oops) anyway, my mouse ran out of batteries about 2 hours ago (a cordless mouseman optical) that was about 6 months and I'm a very heavy user... I do a computing degree and also always on the internet so don't worry about battery issues.
#25
How does the mouse connect?

Does it use a seperate USB dongle or does it ned the keyboard aswell?

Thanks
#26
Both the microsoft and logitech sets hav just one usb dongle/reciever that does both the mouse and keyboard.
#27
Great post.............Bargain i think. My wireless mouse has been playing up just lately.............felt like throwing it up the wall, so this has come a good time. Just ordered myself one, for this price you cant go wrong.

From the Logitech site:

"Extended battery life

Sophisticated power management technologies mean that batteries can last up to 15 months for the keyboard and up to 6 months for the mouse. The convenient LED battery indicators flash when batteries need changing. The mouse features an "On/Off" switch to extend battery life even further."

I like the idea of being able to switch the mouse off - dunno if that's common to other optical mice but I can't on my old Belkin.

So I've ordered the logitech wireless keyboard pack through google checkout, selected supersaver delivery.

1. The order was placed on the 22nd, accepted and the money taken - are ebuyer going to email me about delivery status? Google checkout merely says its "in progress".

2. I have an order number for ebuyer but no account with them as I went through google, could I register and then check?

Am I expecting too much, and super saver is simply a "it comes when it comes" option? :-D

OK, order placed on the 22nd, start with the 23rd and add 5 working days = dispatch date should be the 27th & you should receive the item at latest by Apr 30. ;-)

I got my Logitech one today. Nice bit of kit.

I'm on Vista though and Skype isn't compatible with Vista Aero so that's a bit of a pain as the buttons on the right of the keyboard integrate with Skype.

Also my music now comes through the crappy speaker
supplied for internet phone calls (which is integrated into the wireless receiver.) Anyone know how I can get music to come through my existing speakers instead? :)
#34
get a separate sound card, connect the logitech speaker to it and use this sound card for skype only, for all the rest make the current sound card the defult device. A new sound card should only cost you a few £.

Cheers .. I managed to sort it out by downloading and installing the latest Vista driver for the product:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/GB/EN,CRID=322,CONTENTID=12524

It lets you specify that the logitech speaker is for VOIP calls only and that other sounds come thru your normal speakers.

Thanks anyway.
#37
Oh no! My PC won't turn on if that Logitech Speakerphone (acts as the receiver for mouse and keyboard so is essential) is plugged into my machine.
It just stops at the first DOS like screen you see. Then i take them out and it boots fine, but then when plugging them back in once the desktop is reached, it has to install all the driver and everything again!

Help! :(

now £27.99 without google checkout just add batteries worth more than £2 to make the total £19.99
