Im sure they are all the same. All it does is power up both HDDs and send information. Cant see why it wouldnt work.

Even if it doesnt, MS will probably send them out for upgrades like they did with the last one. Just give them the serial number and Bobs your uncle.
#13
lol on those people who brought the argos one

I got 120gb one from argos for £67.99 back in July, but not 3 weeks before this came out

I would defo get this if I had my 20gb one still but I dont seem to use mine that much as I still have 40gb free
#15

I'm guessing so, as the 120gb one did. Plus it wouldnt make sense for Microsoft to not include one as most people will be upgrading from old HDDs anyway :)
#19
Great price. H&R.
Still debating whether I need it or not, hmm.
#20
So much for the super elite consoles only ever having the 250 GB hard drive and will never be available as an addon (they said this on MW2 console promo on xbox live) :lol rfl Microsoft.
#21
Hmm... they said they weren't going to release this to buy on its own in the UK.

Fraid not, I got a transfer kit with my 120GB drive, transferred from the 20GB to 120GB no probs. Then bought an elite and tried to transfer 120GB to the new elite and all it does is pester for the 20GB I no longer have.... Microshaft couldn't be less helpful, their advice "buy a new transfer kit" :x

I should return both mw2 consoles now as they were wrongly advertised and the noise they make is no better than previous models. The game was not as good as hoped either and I lost my quidco as it was paid to somewhere else :whistling:

I bought 2 of these 250gb from Amazon though so thanks OP... I have 6 already 2 official and 4 hooky ones.

Mine work fine on all hard drives I have tried so far.20>60 20 >120 120 > 250 120>120 250>120 . Maybe it's the disc rather than the usb bit

Its the software. The original transfer cables came out before the 60gb hdds and 250gb hdds came out. They wont get recognised if they are used with the old software and wont work.

I would say so.

However the cable and software I have is quite old and was given by M$ for my first Elite when they first came out @ 120 gig so the 120 gig software works on the 250gb model as that's what I have been using for ages now.

Definitely the software only but Microshaft dont care, I asked nicely if they could send me the disc only and they couldn't give a monkeys, the idiot CS assistant just kept saying that I needed a transfer kit. I sent three replies saying that I HAD a kit but the disc was out of date, the reply "you need a transfer kit" I got fed up with her incompetance in the end and jjust thought stuff it!!

They were great with my RROD to be fair, but they really peed me off with their unhelpful stance on the cable, its not like Im ripping them off and it pees me off even more to think that I have a brand new 120g drive stuck in its box and a crappy grey one on my elite which is losing value daily!!!! Dont suppose any kind hearted soul fancies lending out their disc :whistling:

Transfer cable included ;-)
