Don't forget, someone has to be at home to sign for it.

plus if it go's wrong, you can always cart it back to Argos. Amazon will tell you to go to Microsoft.

Yes I know some Argos's can tell you to go to MS too, but most cave in and replace on the spot.

Yeah but this is just the Xbox console + 1 controller for £159.99.

Which means that for £7 more you get Xbox + 2 controllers + 3 games at Argos

Or am i wrong?

I buy most of my things online these days but still always prefer high street if they can do the same price or close to it especially for the actual hardware. Hot from me.

This is just plain wrong... I have sent a 360 back to Amazon with no trouble for a full refund, wheras argos said 'If anything goes wrong you must deal directly to Microsoft...

So my experience is the exact opposite of what you say...

i noticed the same thing. the argos deal is 7 pounds more with extra controller + 3 games

Avoid argos like the plague for a 360

they point blank refuse to take it back
even though they have to by law
as you contract of sale is with them not microsoft

I spent 2 hours rowing with the manager over this a few months ago

anyone who gets this problem i advise contacting your credit card company
as they are just as responsible

once you goto microsoft you loose your rights under the sale of goods act

Just read the page!!! There is a link on it which says 'Get an extra controller and 2 selected games for £10' and tells you how to do it when you click on it.... That page link is this.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_82960773_1?ie=UTF8&docId=1000095443&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=special-offers-2&pf_rd_r=0W1DPP8FH7BTHZ5R3PSN&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=467100953&pf_rd_i=B001DTD0WM

its not hard if you just read the page!

Seems all the Glasgow stores are out of stock of the Xbox :(
#22
can i say something silly here and feel free to shoot me down if i am wrong.

Amazon Deal ( with 60Gb console, 3 games and extra controller, HDMI cable ) = £169.99

Argos Deal ( with 60Gb console, 3 games and extra controller, NO HDMI cable ) = £166.39

Thats basically means you are paying £3.60 for a HDMI cable with the amazon deal. Is that right??

Thanks,

I got 2 separate reservation numbers with 2 different dates for collection One is for Offer 1 and the other is for the 360. Can I collect these separately?

Yes why?

(Here we go again) Anyone know what the chances are that Argos and Amazon stock Jasper versions?
#26
I think my Asda were doing this deal for £159 in store. Not gonna submit it as i'm not 100% sure, maybe worth ringing up your local store (ask them to physically scan the xbox) before making a dash!
#27
Same price in HMV for the same deal as Argos.

And you don't have to wait at a collection point.

Not by the time you've paid for a wireless network adaptor, plug & play charge kit and 12 months xbox live.

if you want two accounts going online at the same time then you will have to buy two live accounts and so on. why would you ever need to accounts to go online?? if you have two kids in your house who don't want to share accounts (sharing save file spaces/freinds list) or if you play splitscreen online co-op/multiplayer you will need to pay two subscriptions.

personally i think the arcade for around a hundred pounds deal you see regularly here is a better deal.

not voted hot or cold but recommend buying the arcade and upgrading as the better cheaper option.

I think you mis-understood the point I was making.

The previous poster was trying to say that the PS3 was double the price of a 360.

I was making the point that if you need to get an xbox live membership, a wireless network adaptor, and a plug and play charge kit (all are included when you buy a PS3), then the xbox 360 costs almost as much as a PS3.

Is that right? I bought a 360 from Amazon, it went up sh!t creek, MS refuse to fix it so it'll be going back to Amazon this week. Could Amazon refuse to take it if they find out MS have seen it?
