Would this be any use to me? I don't get what it actually does.

I have one wireless controller a wireless headset and a wireless adapter, what difference will this make?

Cos it seems like wires for wireless products..

It is so you can hookup them xbox 360 wireless products to your PC or laptop rather than the xbox. Which is great if you game on the PC but are used to the 360 control.

You silly old sausage! This item lets you use your 360 wireless pad on your PC. Halo and Bioshock spring to mind.

Edit: Someone replied just ahead of me, making me a silly sausage too.

Oh, haha lmao. I thought it was some sort of base unit for all your wireless products.. like they all sync to that instead of the console.

My bad. :D Guess I won't be getting one of these.

Thanks Conscept and Curious :)

Not had time to try yet, but does anyone know if you can use this with 360 wireless head set and windows live on a PC?

it says "Allows use of 4 wireless headsets" in the description. I don't know how far or how they work for it though.

First person shoorters on the PC using a console controller?? Tis like driving a Ferrari by sticking your feet through the floor and running!

Out of stock in all london stores.

Staples Corner, Brentford, London City, Kensington High St, Tottenham Court Road, Fulham, Old Kent Road, Mile End Road, Collierswood.

Same everytime something like this crops up.
#16
None near me sadly (Manchester), but is a good deal.
#17
Got this for christmas :)

One thing to note about these, it appears that they have a slight flaw in the circuit design. The receiver wouldn't work on my motherboard (eVGA 650i Ultra) usb ports, the light lit up but control pads would not sync. After reading that the device seemed to be power hungry and that people who had the same problem had fixed it by using an externally powered usb hub, I tried an old PCI USB 2.0 card I had lying around.

I had to sacrifice my TV tuner, but it now works with the add-in card. Something to note, as you might require a powered usb hub to get this to work, depending on your PC - nice one Microsoft!

Once it works though, its very good at its job and I've been using it in various games with minimal setup required (often none), and for older games that don't support the 360 controller, you can use a piece of software called xpadder to map controller buttons to keyboard keys.

Some in Ipswich btw.
#19
got mine from preston(deepdale retail)
#20
I'd like one but do you think I can find it at a store near me? NO! They also have PGR4 and Assassins Creed for less than a 10er, but again, you have to go far and wide to find it.

Nail. Head. Smacked!

On the same score FPS games on a console are wrong. Just wrong! FPS are keyboard & mouse games!

EDIT: Couldn't get one of these adapters in Mansfield, Chesterfield, Derby or Leicester. Would be great if I could to use on Trackmania.

anyone played cod5/cyrysis/ etc on pc with 360 pad???

At least one - I would check but i'm not at work tomorrow :P

Wish they made these so they worked the other way around ie so i can connect a keyboard and mouse to my 360. I find it alot easier when playing FPS on my PC rather than with the controller on the 360 :santa:
#26
they have them in Stock in Merthyr Store

I was playing Counter Strike a few years back and a kid was trying out his wired 360 controller on the server I was playing on. Hilarious. Don't think he got more than 50 yards from the spawn. His 360 controller experiment lasted about 5 minutes before he was back on keys and mouse.

But kudos to those that can play on xbox live with a controler and make it look effortless, i had a go recently and its damn difficult to aim and what not. Much prefer keyboard and mouse but thats only because its 100% easier :-D

Thats strange as it works with the front and rear usb ports on my pc, plus both my laptops and my netbook (which has very low power output usb ports)

And as for the comments on using a pad for fps games, it just as easy when you get used to it, and every xbox fps player i know has trouble using a mouse and keyboard playing these games the first time after using a pad.. its all relative, and if you havent used both these methods extensively you shouldn't be spouting your opinion tbh..
#31
Out of stock pretty much everywhere. :(

I should have been quicker.

I do play both, almost daily. A pad is far less accurate and far harder to track heads with though (you can't hack a pad to 1000Hz!!) and you don't have the fun of custom maps, sounds and binds on a console.

I suppose FPS games have become more popular since analogue sticks appeared on joypads, and folk now just assume that this is the 'proper' way to play having never known WASD and mouse.
#33
Non in stock in South Yorkshire area, been wanting one of these for ages Ill have to wait till play get them in stock again.

Have to agree with the above tho using a G-Pad for FPS gaming is just wrong

I couldn't agree less, my foxy chum. It's 'orses for courses, innit?

I still can't decide whether I want one of these. But as they're all out of stock, the decision makes itself!

Is there any way you could use a Crossfire with a Guitar Hero wireless 360 controller to play Guitar Hero on the PC? Just curious.
#36
In stock at Tunbridge Wells if anyone's interested!
#37
