This is just a standard wireless controller which can be bought cheaper else where. There is nothing special about it that makes it work with xp/vista. Does this even come with the wireless adaptor for the pc?

It doesn't say it comes with the wireless adaptor. I didn't even need the disc or whatever to install mine. Plug and play for me.

I don't understand why this is being voted cold, as cheaper than anywhere else online. Perhaps it's the uncertainty about whether the wireless adaptor is included. It seems hard to imagine it wouldn't be, but you'd think the description would be more explicit.

Interestingly, almost nobody else seems to be selling the controller with manufacturer part "JR9-00002". Overclockers do and it includes the wireless adaptor. The more common MS model number for a wireless 360 controller for windows is JR9-00002. It would be interesting to know if there was any difference between the two. If it were the other way around (as in JR9-00001 was rare) I might imagine Dell were selling off older stock, but it doesn't make sense for MS to decrement the model number does it?

They changed the title - the old one (you can verify with google cache) was "Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows - Game pad - 16 button(s) - PC, Microsoft Xbox 360 - white". I imagine they changed it in response to queries.
