I'll bring up the heat.

Even though I don't want one (thanks to last years Argos deal), still voted hot as they're a very versatile piece of kit in the right hands ;-)
#8

What's having a hard drive have to do with anything?

Its a retaliatory vote from a deal he posted that i stated that not everybody has a hard drive on the 360 ;-)

And i still haven't voted yet...

Two weeks ago I would have gone for a 2nd Xbox and XBMC but I've now discovered that the Wii can play streamed music/video nearly as well using TVersity.

Still a good deal though.. if you haven't got one already.
#16
i bought an xbox from cex, all though it was second hand (boxed with 2 games) it came with a 12 months guarantee.was only £32.

softmoded it also so the kids can play there back ups and kep the originals in god condition ;-) ;-) ;-)
#17
fantastic, i missed the argos one and have been wanting an extra xbox for a while. seeing as i just bought a new tv i could do with a spare xbox to act as a media hub for it. thanks!
#18
Excellent deal.

I have been after one for a while. Thought that I would let you know that you can buy xboxs from game 2nd hand from Games (incl Crystal ones) for £39 with 12 month warranty.
#19
agree with the comments about the media centre. Took me ages to find a good price for an Action Replay though.
#20
great price HOT :)

This link does not seem to be working !!!

I cant get onto the site. What was the Argos deal peope are talking about?
#26
Video / audio from the Wii using TVersity is not going to be as good as XBMC. There will be major quality issues because you are relying on the built in Opera browser and the connectivity options on the Wii are very poor, no digital audio out options at all.
I've got a Wii and I'm now thinking about getting an XBox just for XBMC.
#27
Can't get onto site either !!!

I didn't vote it cold and I posted this deal at 16:34 on the other xbox console thread. Some caution I think and agree with using a CC.....freddy

Oh dear.... I voted hot - great deal again emma.
#30
Its only a good deal if you can actually get onto the site to find the deal !!!!!!!!
#31
Working again now

Top job Emasu....
I'll always vote hot for someone that finds a bargain AND PROPERLY researches the alternative options (& has a sense of humour) as there are some people that find it VERY hard to take criticism.....

My local Game wants £69 for Crystal ones :-( .

Gamestation also do them for with various 2 or 4 game bundles for similar.
#34
There was a time when I'd have got a 2nd hand XBOX because the price difference was pretty big but most of these being traded-in are gonna be nearing the end of their lives & will only mean another trip down to CEX, Gamestation, Game for a replacement or a refund a few months down the line.
If the difference is £10-20 then I know which I'd choose....
#35
Brilliant deal cheers, almost tempted to get another one for downstairs but 1) It's ugly and my parents wouldn't want one 2) I didn't actually softmod mine myself and wouldn't know how to do it, heh.

It's a great console though, and if you whack XBMC on there it becomes the absolute best value for money (or flat out best? I don't know) media centre out there by some way.
#36
good offer but, gosh, took me ages to get rid of the ones I bought ! Not going to even touch with a barge pole (not that theres anything wrong with these, I just never used them !)
#37
XBMC in HD 720p

Connect it to the net and gain Web browser, TV EPG, Apple Movie trailers, You Tube, etc
#38
My softmod cost around £3. That was £2 for Splinter Cell, about £1 for a cable to connect XBOX to PC, and a break even on the Action Replay that I bought from Play & sold on eBay. It's a bit of an effort to get it sorted, but well worth it :)
