2100 Xbox Live Marketplace Points.

This is the cheapest I've seen, as its quite hard to get any decent discount on this. Its not a huges saving...but it all counts.

Price is £16.49 but if you use the 5% Off Voucher this brings it down to £15.67 (free delivery)

Don't forget your Quidco as well!!!

Nice. I, frustratingly, need only 150 points to get Sonic the Hedgehog that was put up yesterday!

Slightly off topic but can anyone help me get bl**dy quidco to work? Never works for me!

I got through quidco to the relevant site, and in the web address you can see the extra stuff related to quidco, but then, when I go to the next page to find the product, the extra stuff is gone. Ive missed out on £30 quidco money for my mobile!!!:x

Cheers.

It should still track if you've been through the quidco link. Just make sure you keep your cookies cleared as that can play havoc with quidco.

id recommend sonic the hedgehog, its good fun with 12 achievements

What are the points for, like what do they entitle you to?
#10
Some games have extra downloadable content which require points. These can be anything from Extra Maps, to whole new expansions e.g. Shivering Isles for Oblivion.

You can buy gamer themes and picture packs.

Also Xbox Live Arcade games.

If you want you can also change your Gamertag.

Does PS3 have any of this?

Ive got about 500 points remaining from when I was banned (Im back on now though). Does anyone know if you can use points to buy an annual gold subscription ? might work out cheaper buying these to subscribe if you can ?

dotn think so as far as i know you use your credit card on live to get gold membership from microsoft but it will work out more expensive, but good thinking because if you could you would probably be right.

It would be much more expensive to buy points then buy gold sub as you get screwed value wise both times.

You get more value for points from cards and if you bought a 12 month sub (should find them for £30 max if you look/ask around or try ebay) you'll maybe have some left over to buy points as well.

Or Buy a 12 month sub which comes with 1000 points that some places have (play.com had this in the past)

Incidentally it costs the equivalent of over 1/3 more for the UK to buy points than the USA (1/4 more for Europe than the USA) yet these points are just identical virtual currency used to buy virtual things. It's not down to the current exchange rate, that's made it even more absurd though.

Effectively the USA get 1 free arcade game for every three they buy compared to us. But it's a Monopoly so what can you do other than try and get the points a little cheaper like this.

Are the points themselves regionalized then? Otherwise whats to stop us buying points form us sites or play-asia and the like?

Amen to that....the moment it comes out, I am dropping Pro Evo (much as I love it) and getting back to the greatest football game ever!

I've been getting my points from Game's website - they are £17.50 each, but I order 2 (one for me, one for a mate) use the £5 off voucher and so get them for £15 each (also Quidco and Game points on top).

Yes the codes you enter for points are regionalised in a similar way to the xbox live codes. Some xbox live codes seem to be region free but i think those are part of promotional packages.

voucher now expired though .

This is under £15 anyway if you use Quidco, so it's the best deal for this, even beats what ebay can offer right now!

Also I am sure the Live Points are regonalised, if you buy a code, you can only activate them on their respective region accounts.

USA Code needs a USA account etc...

I haven't tested this personally though. just from what I have read. It would make sense though as this is an obvious loophole, and am sure the same applies to Gold Live Memberships

Has it?? Damn....

Good job I stocked up the other week!!

I got it for £14.95 without any vouchers from MX2 about a month ago. They've stopped selling them now it seems.
