Just as a note to people, I had one of these and the bolt which holds the spring in place sheared off when I was sitting on it and caused the spring to almost take my leg off.

It's not like I'm too heavy (13st) before you ask!! it's just these chairs seem to be cheap tat.

i'm very interested in this - just wonder if anyone has one of these and can confirm if they are any good.

Ah, cheers for that mate.

Have a look at this Ebuyer one instead, it's only a few quid more and (from the look of the argos one) it's a lot better too.

My OH has one and to be honest he only had it 6 months and its completely broke , the arms snapped off and the back fell off, i would never buy this chair again, it may be cause he uses it every day and leans back , think it may be suppose to be used for occasional useage lol,

Haha good sense of humour :-D perhaps you could ask Gordon Ramsay if he'd like one for his restaurant :giggle:

I have one of these and got one from Staples a while ago (half price offer) - its identical. Just don't expect to do any reclining as its not built for that ;)

Just treat it carefully and it'll be fine....its held togther by four bolts either side (the arms hold the chair togther) mine does creak occasionally...I have another chair which is bigger and better and that is much stronger than this one (but at 4 times the price)

I have had office chairs from Argos and they are just not upto the job! Best buy from Staples where they are built to last and are fit for purpose.
As they say you get what you pay for.

I've got one of those chairs.

It's worth around £20 or so. It's not a "nice" executive leather chair. It is, however, much better than a flat folding chair. It's a bit creaky from time to time, but holds my weight and is quite comfortable.

As long as you don't expect professional office quality, it's quite nice for home use.

Good luck, whatever you get!

Try this Hamburg chair from tesco direct. (hope link works for you's)
I know a few ppl who have it and say it's very comfortable. It's a whopping 51p more expensive but I think it looks nicer than the argos one too. Get your 5% quidco too. (think it's included)

Decent quality leather faced chair suitable for any type of leather faced manager.

I had this chair from Argos (or one VERY similar, can't say for sure it's def this chair) and it was okay for a year and a half or so but then the arms started to crack. Eventually it totally cracked and somehow the back broke as well so it gave way whilst I was on it, I almost ended up on the floor back first. I won't buy a chair with plastic arms or bases again.
