I have researched all this morning.

Quidco 2% also available bring this down to under £400 (£396.25)

I have ordered the above after speaking with Miele.co.uk. This model number is a 'special' with a sloped front & excluding digital display, made exclusively for the CO-OP. Apart from that, it is identical in every way to G1143SC. The cheapest I could find that was for about £525.00 delivered.

The G1022 is a lesser model that can be bought for about £420 too, but it is not included in the extra 3 year warranty promotion.

Delivery was brilliant too. I am expecting mine this Thursday.

THANK YOU 'KJRGREEN'

PLEASE NOTE YOU NEED TO STATE THAT THIS IS AVAILABLE FROM A SISTER COMPANY AT THE ABOVE PRICE. THEY WILL MATCH.

http://www.electrical123.com/products/ProductDetail.asp?ProductCode=MIE-DWR-G1152SC-W

OR JUST ORDER FROM WWW.ELECTRICAL123.COM. iT'S ESSENTIALLY THE SAME COMPANY.

Whenever Which magazine do a review of "white goods" (washing machines, dishwashers etc)
then Miele always come out on top.

Never owned one but I gather they are very well made and last for years.

This will probably last twice as long as a cheaper model from another company (but not be twice the cost)

Well I have just had a made in Germany AEG (as I'm not too sure they all are now) pack up after 14 years service. I would expect the same again from this product. Time will tell though.

Oh well, I should of looked harder. I got too excited with my find. I think www.electrical123.com are owned by CO-OP. I'm going to phone up and see what I can do.

EDIT: KRJGreen. Thank you. I just got the difference refunded to my card.

And to my mind that's what this site is all about.

Heat and rep, great price for a quality appliance.

Miele make great appliances - especially washing machines and dishwashers. We've had ours for 10.5 years and they look like new inside and out despite being used every day (their white plastic and paint/enamel doesn't go yellow like other brands). IMO the build quality is as good as it gets for home appliances.

Miele may initially cost a little (or sometimes a lot) more than other brands but I reckon the cost per year ends up being on a par with cheaper brands and you don't have the hassle of breakdowns/leaks/replacing.

Hot deal.

Rather surprisingly, Miele also make honey for the French, I saw it in a supermarket last year

so annoyed was looking for ages for a dishwasher for my mum!! really wanted a Miele! but ended up gettin a AEG for her with a 5 year warranty from JL £382

pleased with that deal tho as made by same company i believe!!!

and GERMAN of cause the best engineers!

Just bought a Miele washing machine the other month. They're bulit like tanks and weigh about the same. Ugly as sin on some models but never going to use another brand.

I would expect the same from their dishwashers although I've never had a problem with either the Bosch standalone and then integrated Neff that I've owned.

MIELE = "Honey" in Italian ("miel" in French)

I've gone from Candy to Hotpoint to Bosch in 7 years. The bosch has lasted 5 so far with no probs and will go for miele when it breaks.

AEG are not German any longer but part of Electrolux as are Zanussi, Bendix , Tricity and Parkinson Cowan. Wise to get the 5yr warranty.

I thought that was the case. I ordered the above after my 'Made In Germany' AEG packed up after 14 years.

Yup, a modern AEG is probably a Zanussi and definately not made in Germany.

This site is well worth a visit for research before taking the plunge and buying your next appliance.

Is Miele as good as Creda or Hotpoint?

Miele is in a different league to Creda & Hotpoint. There's no comparison. Miele is renowned as being 1 of the best.
Thank you very much indeed for this post. I've been looking to replace my dishwasher for a while. I phoned to order thro' Co-op so I could get price match but then couldn't use Quidco. I do have a Co-op members card though & the points added should equate to approx. £10.

Should have just ordered it at full price via quidco then phoned up and mentioned you saw it cheaper at website mentioned above (it is the same company). Then you would have got quidco, co-op member points and £404.34 price. But hey I wasn't smart enough myself to get quidco and don't have the card.

just brought one second hand for £100 only 2 months old as the seller had a new kitchen and went built in.

he was gutted to get rid (especially at that price!!!)

replaced a working hotpoint and must say its brill

a lot quicker cycle (only something like 1.5kW energy and 13 litres water per cycle)
cleaner dishes than previous
can set water hardness to accurately control salts etc
extreamly quite

and lets hope reliable.

I have also switched to a bosch washing machine and again seems a lot better engineered than hotpoint and the like
#27
just bought this- but be aware it is more than cosmetically different from the G1143SC as that model also has a turbo programme setting - the 1152SC doesn't
still a fantastic deal though- but get it quick before the 5 year warranty offer runs out on 31 May for purchases
#28
My Miele has just arrived - yippee! Looks absolutely fine but you have to push really hard to close the door. Can anyone confirm if this is normal with Miele please? (The door of my Bosch closes much easier). Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks.
#29
mine arrives in a few days! A billy bargain for a Miele. How quiet is it in operation?

This deal seems to have disappeared from the Co-op site now.

AEG is not German, It is Swedish, Owned by Electrolux group, AEG went bust years ago, Brand is owened by Electrolux and it's the same stuff produced in the same place, same with Zanussi and JLP own brand.

You are not buying German you are buying Swedish and you can not compare it to a Miele!
