Genuinely wondering, why better than a Dyson?

Higher suction power, more reliable, don't rely on flashy marketing campaigns to sell meaning they are better value for money. Second only to Sebo.

I am intrigued too as to how it can be better than dyson!

i have one of these and it does indeed knock spots off a dyson...very understated (usually have it on the mantelpiece)

Got a Miele (slightly higher spec model than this) and had a couple of Dyson's in the past and the Miele is certainly better at picking up dirt which I guess is what you are buying it for! The Miele is now over 3yrs old and hasn't had a single thing go wrong and still has as much suction power as it did when we first got it, neither Dyson lasted 3yrs without something braking and after 3yrs neither felt like it still had anywhere near the same suction as when new. The only downside with the Miele over the Dyson is having to buy bags but given the better cleaning it's only a small inconvenience. I'm agree with swampy_donkey above, Sebo is probably best but Miele are a very close 2nd and once you've tried a Miele or a Sebo you're unlikely to buy a Dyson again.

dysons are rubbish.

Our miele cat and dog just seems to be a much better build quality than our dyson.
