For those with serious pet conditions note that these 'turbo' vacuum cleaners are nowhere near as effective as a Dyson upright. I gave up trying. Much quieter though for less virulent infestations!

from all the reports and reviews ive read on the net, Dyson is no where near as good as Miele.
#4
I'm sure that these Miele/Bosch vacuum cleaners are at least as good as their Dyson equivalents. But none of these can match the integrated driven brushes etc. in an upright cleaner.

These are rubbish. Bought one last week, no matter how hard I tried it would not vacuum up the cat.

Now the little git just hides under the table and spits at me when I come near.

This functionality is integrated in all of the upright models - powered brushes like the Sebo are just an attempt to provide the best of both designs - not completely successfully.

The Miele needs bags, becomes rapidly less efficient as it fills and cannot pick up hairs as well as an integrated mechanical brush and the constant suction of the Dyson design. The hairs simply become entangled in the brush.

But it is quieter and easier to use in awkward places. I was moved to comment only because in my household - shared with too many dogs & cats - the Miele is not up to the job - in a less challenging environment I am sure that it would be the right choice!

just got the cat and dog from comet

its the Blue version, model is Cat and Dog MAX.

only used it once so cant comment properly but initial impressions great build quality! i was expecting it to be bit bigger, (looked big in comet on the shelf lol)

this unit is very very quiet compared to our old dyson and VAX upright, i could not believe how quiet it is on carpet mode.

comes with 2 floor heads, one normal and one large turbo head plus a small turbo brush

register the product to get 2 years free warranty parts and labour and they give you an option to get extra 4 years (on top of the 2 so total 6 years!) for £99 which can be spread out over 10 months direct debit (interest free)

the comet extra warranty doesn't extend after the initial 2 years, its from the start, so really not worth it.

hope this helps!

All the Miele signs showing around the store might indicate a little bias.

That video was as scientific as Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth

fair do's, he also had a Dyson floor mat lol

i think the idea behind the vid was to show if the vacuum blew the dust back out, which in this case the dyson did and the Miele didnt.
