Mobile broadband is NEVER good for online fast paced gaming, no matter what the device that has the mobile broadband 3g connection is (mifi, wired 3g router, 3g usb dongle thru PC/notebook/netbook etc). The latency is too high and you'll end up lagging a lot and being killed more often

Cheers for that. there seems to be some confusion at 3 about this particular offer. When I spoke to customer services the max they could offer on long term contract was 5GB usage, not 15GB. Was wondering if the OP said anything in particular to get this deal as I have 3 separate phone contracts with them and they still didnt mention the 15GB offer. lol.....:)

I got it for free when I renewed my half price deal for another 18 months (£7.50 for 5GB). Tell them you are leaving because of lousy reception.

OK, I know everyone moans about Three. I've currently got the half price 3G deal that was previously on here.

The huge difference between Three and Vodaphone, O2, Orange, T-Mobile and so on is this:

Most mobile broadband will connect you at the fastest possible speed. This could be GPRS, UMTS or HSDPA (That's old style mobile internet access, 3G or the newer faster 3G - 7.2mbs)

Unfortunately, Three buy their GPRS off someone else (possibly Orange) so they don't actually offer it on 3G only deals.

So where you would traditionally fall over to GPRS with the other firms (Voda, Orange and so on) you don't with Three.

As he says, many people took their modems back to Three and got out of their contracts.

Totally agree:thumbsup:

I'm using 3 mobile broadband for 7 month now, the speed is not bad between 3a.m.-9a.m. but weekday after 5p.m. and weekend is horriblely slow, hardly opens a webpage:x:x......unfortunately I signed the 24 months contract, now I get up 5a.m every day to do surfing and downloading.

So guys, think twice before you signed the contract!!!!
