This is for the new version of the MiFi router (E585) and is usually £49.99 without any credit.
It is also possible to get £12 cashback (TopCashback and Quidco), making this only £28 (I bought one and it has tracked).
I've checked eBay and unlocked versions of this MiFi are going for around £80 -£90, but a quick surf turned up sites offering unlock codes and software for just over £5 - so I think this is a fantastic offer - so good that I'm sure there must be a catch, but I've not spotted it yet :)
Stating the obvious, but this is fantastic for anyone with a WiFi only iPad, iPod Touch etc.

i got one of these free from three for agreeing to extend my contract for 18 months whilst paying the same, no brainer that. it's a great gadget. you can also stick a microsd card in it, but i can't seem to get it to work like a normal network drive (i haven't bothered looking to see if it can). you just turn it on and it works, it looks nice too

Ordered. Will do for my iPad with the £5 a month sim

Good deal thanks OP, wanted to buy this for some time, hopefully I can put some better s/w on it and turn it into a better router.
#5
all ordered and heat added, so thanks OP...I also have been looking at this for a while so looking forward to getting it and seeing if it can be bettered......

Ive never had any luck with quidco +three always tracks then disapears.

I bought one of these for holiday as we are in the Staffordshire moores I didn't hold out much hope. However we have managed to get a good connection 99% of the time and connect at least 3 devices at a time. Great gadget and my quidco tracked no problems. I have had quidco from 3 several times now with no problems.

Link to the deal to get 2GB data for £5.00 a month from 3.

I think when you combine the Mi Fi with a cheap 30 day contract like this one, then this is HOT HOT HOT!
#10
great deal! But I know I'll use it for like 2 days then throw it into my gadget cupboard and find it 2 years down the line and think 'hey, technology was ahead of its time back then'! lol.

still voted hot and very good price!! even if quidco doesnt come through!

3 never paid my Quidco and when I rang them they claimed that they've never heard of Quidco!!!
#12
Bought one last week at 49.99 typical!!!

Works a treat.
#13
How does the PAYG work on these? How many GB does the £10 get you? Does it ever expire?
(I have a contract Mifi with the older device, and it works really well - may recommend this to a friend if the credit doesn't expire. My original Quidco paid out £12.50 no problem - about 2 years ago for 5GB / month @ £7.50 / month).
#14
Make sure you don't use any other codes otherwise quidco will almost definately decline. (There's a good chance it will anyway, I've had very little luck with quidco and 3)
#15
If unlocked, you can get "unlimited" internet using a GiffGaff sim for 10 quid a month (5 quid this month - they have a sale).

Oh, and i've never had 3 honour any Quidco cashback.

Free UK mobile Internet on your handset until the 1st of October 2010.

^Does that mean from then they will start charging for it out of bundle from then?

Can these be used in Denmark as well with one of their own 3 Sim cards?

How much quidco is tracking?

Sounds too good to be true, i cannot get landline internet where live and have to rely on my MiFi for everything (luckly i have 15gb limit (but still not enough)).

The giffgaff website states not for PC use or tethering.

See was too good to be true.

Nice one, thanks for this! Had the old one but fancied the new one.

Is there a free way to unlock?

Has anybody any experience using these on the Virgin train Man-Lon?

The resaon I ask is I use my boyfriends 3 dongle on board, and it cant hold a signal (even when your not in a tunnel!). Ive used a friends Tmobile one, and it works better., so just wondering if this will effectively be the same and keep dropping signal the whole way there...

They wouldn't have heard of Quidco, they are simply a subscriber to 3's affiliate program. If you have an issue with receiving cashback raise a ticket with Quidco.

Worked fine for me, took seconds to unlock now using a Voda Top-up & Go sim with no expiry...

does this create a proper access point or an ad-hoc ?

Perfect, I need to get one of these. Voted hot.

Quidco always tracks my purchases from Three but they always eventually get declined without any explanation!!!

Can these be used in Denmark as well with one of their own 3 Sim cards?

I would say probably not unless unlocked. For example I've had a 3 UK mobile and 3 UK dongle, both locked, but would not work with a 3 Italy SIM card.
#36
If your using a simcard outside its registered country ie UK to Spain etc it will need to be unlocked.
#37
Good deal, so voted hot. Got a Galaxy S, though, so don't need it.
#38
I think the Galaxy S only creates an ad-hoc connection where as this is a proper Access Point.
#39
This looks like a golden deal for me.
I want it to work with laptop in my car to browse Google Earth while I am on a trip.
The only thing I worried about are download limits. GE can eat it all in no time.
Did anyone tried this setup?

Nope, as far as I am aware, it sets up a proper mobile access point.
