Could someone tell me the cheaper alternative E-MOUNT lenses for A-6000? I already have a 18-50 with me.
sounds like the sel55210 is your only real choice (your lens is 16-50 btw)
iirc you were looking at it for months - must have been a reason for that - no other cheap lens will give you then same usage
if you decided you dont need reach then instead of asking what lens you should get you need to start thinking about what functionality you actually want as its all going to be opinion

Good call :) No idea why the cold votes though, as no mention of were you can get a new one cheaper?
People are probably not seeing the "s" beside X-E2 and think it's the older version.

Great camera,
I got this camera also on the offer from here and its an amazing camera
I love this camera. It has most of the best features of the 5D, only downside is autofocus but for video there's not many full frames at this price range that pack this much
I bought one of these from Currys ebay - came with the L series 24-105mm - not long after they came out. It was c£1,600 so good price even today. I bottled out and returned it as it felt a bit plasticky compared to my old 7D. Probably the wrong decision as it's a great sensor. Beats the 5Diii here:
http://snapsort.com/compare/Canon-EOS-5D-Mark-III-vs-Canon-EOS-6D
I managed to get one for £749 after cashback (price match at John Lewis+previous cashback offer) and it's an amazing camera.

Wife bought me a 100-400L Lens for Christmas and it's a kick-ass piece of kit :)

Great if you want 4k video shooting now, if you're more interested in stills this way too much money to chuck down on a mediocre sized sensor.
Nonsense. M4/3 is a great sensor. Unless you're going to want huge prints, or what ridiculous shallow DOF, then M4/3 is great. This camera is almost universally acclaimed, not just for 4k video, it's an outstanding stills camera, and a bargain even at RRP.

The FZ1000 has a smaller 1" sensor, the GH4 has a four thirds sensor.
I thought long and hard over the gh4 and fz1000 but decided on nor wanting to carry around many lenses and wasting time changing lenses and losing shots. Read up all the reviews and forums I could find for this and decided on the fz1000. Obviously my use case scenario wouldn't fit other people's requirements. Only thing I would have like in the fz1000 would have been the weather proofing like on the gh4.

For my amateur use case scenario for family photos and days out the fz1000 won in the end. Pleased I saved the huge price difference but got most of the features. So posted my experience here.

Those two cameras are for different markets. GH4 is more pro-like camera with a huge selection of great u4/3 lenses from Panasonic and Olympus. You can also use adaptors for older lenses, but you will lose AF.

FZ1000 has a lens with F2.8-4 (equivalent 9.1-14.6)... For GH4 you can buy quite cheap prime lenses with F1.7-1.8, which is a quite big improvement in DOF. With GH4, the camera's price is just a tip of the iceberg, though.

I appreciate your help, but really those two cameras are for different markets.

not sure if the gh3 lenses fit this, if they do then this other deal might be a cheap way of getting lenses cheaper for this camera after selling the gh3 that comes in that deal. see http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/panasonic-lumix-dmc-gh3-12-35mm-kit-free-battery-grip-25mm-lens-1199-00-park-cameras-1983666

Yes but DigitalRev is not a UK company. They are Hong Kong based. See: http://www.digitalrev.com/contact_us
Do hey offer a full UK warranty?

------

Yes it is a uk based service centre warranty from DigitalRev, even though they are based in Hong Kong.

I've had such good experiences with buying and support from this Hong Kong based international retailer that I recently made a purchase with one of their competitors called valuebasket. The service at valuebasket is totally different as they seem to source a lot of product from their suppliers once you have made the order and transferred the money, so deliver is like a week longer. The good thing is valuebasket normally give a 3 year warranty and it's locally uk serviced although the admin is dealt Hong Kong based co-ordinated. I had two billing issues with value basket which were easy to resolve but it took valuebasket 2 and a half weeks to resolve, where at one stage I became nervous that they were a scam company. All resolved in the end. But digital rev service quality and speed
I have found to be as good as and if not better than British online retailers to be honest.

I've been notified that mine is being delivered tomorrow morning
Bought this yesterday, though it seems they have increased the price back up to £439. Was wondering if they have honoured anyones purchase at the lower price? I know its still early in the day, but still haven't heard back from them yet

That's the one at the top of the page. It's the second one down - like I said in the first post!

That's the one without lens, still showing 399.99 here for one with kit lens, which is rather odd but handy.
