Nice one.

Was looking for a cheap DVD player for the bedroom. I've got a £10 voucher lying around from the last promotion, so I'll pick up a "free" DVD player!

Cheers.

Shame it looks like a shoebox though :)

Come on, you can't really complain for £10....what do you expect! It even comes with batteries for the remote.
#15

Dont get me wrong,I'm not complaining.
Its just that the other one (item # 5336566) doesnt look like its been carved from a lump of granite :)

Both are a very good price

OMG, um please I hope that was a mik take...

What do people really expect for a tenner ? ? ?
Maybe it should have a built in LCD projector as well :-D
#20
That other one looks to be a top loader which is better for cleaning but the downside is the space around the player then needs to be kept free from clutter whereas the original one can have a mound of cuddly toys on top to diguise it's 'shoebox' clumpy design!! :giggle:

plus the 2nd one isn't half price so I don't feel I am getting such a good deal as I am with the original 50% off one....
#21
Maybe we should have a "disguise your cheap DVD player" competition, once everyone's got them :giggle:
#22
The space age one does look better. Comparing the dimensions no.2 is a lot thinner and nowhere near as deep but that said it is a lot wider.

Biggest downside of space age one is it doesn't use aa or aaa batteries but the watch type ones.
#23
hahaha :)

The g/f broke her remote and it would cost £20 for a new one so this will do nicely for a stocking filler.

Thanks to the OP!

Just need a £10 TV!!......lol

I have vouchers to spend y'see. Will this type of thing be able to record freeview?

anyone know of region free hack for this unit?
#31
Just want to say thanks, managed to track one down!

A work colleague purchased this and it died within 14 days. I've seen the poor picture quality but at £9.99 it must be the cheapest DVD player to date. Small screens only!

Make sure you're within walking distance to Argos because the cost of petrol keeps increasing. :)

Still around.. thanks for the pointer den169 :)
