I bought my Daughters one of these each with freeview on for Christmas. What a mistake! the one had to be replaced within 3 weeks as it just stopped working now the replacement and the other telly just stop working for no reason and then reset themselves. Would never buy this make of TV again!

Don't be too disheartend, my parents have one, it's a good cheap telly, plus Argos have second to none customer service so any problems it can go back!

If you can wait a few months, the prices of non DVB TVs will fall through the floor.

And why buy a non widescreen tv in this day and age.

patronising ? lighten up. Maybe i should have worded it better but you can get a widescreen for a little extra i don't see the point in a non widescreen tv now days.

Got this set a few months back at this price plus a free gift voucher. Great little tv. I bought it cos it was cheap and had a UHF and VHF tuner - its works europe wide. Its currently sitting in the kitchen of my house in the Czech Republic. Been in daily use without any trouble.
I think the negative post at the beginning is refering to the more expensive model with built in freeview, and is not the same as this.
