Good price, bad bar.
Remember when they had malt in them?

Remember when they had malt in them?

After reading the other thread about the Peanut Butter Kit Kats I was having a conversation with the guy in sits in front of me in work this afternoon, who is a chocolate lover, and amongst the Secrets and the Wispa Golds we began reminicing about the old "blue" Milky Ways which had brown fillings instead of white.

To be honest I love(d) both of them I just wish they still made the old ones aswell. The filling was a bit like the centre of a Mars bar except a bit softer for anybody too young to remember.

I remember first having a "white" Milky Way as a kid on holiday in Budapest in about 1991 and I thought it was gorgeaus. I rememeber the newsagents shop by school getting stock of foreign "white" Milky Ways the following year, when all the other shops still sold the "blue" ones, and me and my mate used to be obsessed with them!

We finally fell in line with the rest of Europe in about 1993 and converted to the "white" Milky Ways and the "blue" ones with the brown centres were no more.

Anybody know why they changed them, I certainly miss the old ones. Is there anywhere in the world where they still make "blue" Milky Ways?
I preferred the original Milky Ways, I don't even buy the so called "improved flavour".

They did the same with the Curry Pot Noodle and I miss the Madras ones.

Probably can get them in the USA where the Cinnamon Tic-Tacs are sold.
Try a Flyte. It's as close to an old Milky Way as makes no difference.
Mars UK apparently said that malt didn't sell well.
good deal, heat added-these only have 98 cals and the co-op charges 47p for the twin bars
It was still 38p when i bought one yesterday :(
ouch, it was half price in the petrol garage, and the big store nearby :O
