I have some friends who walked from Nelsons Column to Istanbul... took six months, and wasnt cheap... think it cost them £2000 each!!

what, no quidco? :o

I booked a week for £0.15. I might even be able to go.... What is the hotel like? I stayed last year for a few days in a dirt cheap hotel on the Costa Brava. Actually I think it was a disguised mental asylum. I met one moron on the flight back who had been at the same hotel who said, "I heard the beach wasn't that far but I didn't bother, I just stayed at the hotel bar all week."

How can they walk all the way from UK to Istanbul? they can't walk through the British Channel
#20
stayed at the hotel next door, its about 40 mins from the airport, the road is nice plenty of bars etc nearby and you can get a bus for like £1 to Olu Deniz which runs every 10 mins.

For 7p seriously it doesnt even matter you could spend 9-7pm down the beach and only shower and kip in the room.

and in May the flights arent gonna be more than £150 each, not sure about the weather tho
#21
Too steep for me......
#22
Has anybody got any idea about cost of transfers and how you'd get them.
SERIOUSLY thinkin of taking kids there.

They're desperate to go abroad but as my gf and i have 5 between us, it's not gonna be cheap ... unless maybe we use this deal lol.

The reviews seem ok but cant find anything on TripAdvisor (which i normally always use).
Anybody been to the hotel?

HEAT + REP added :)
#23
I'd want all-inclusive at that price ;-)

Try Sky Scanner for flights. Tends to find flights from overseas budget carriers that most of the other sites miss.

Brings up quite a few in May (to Dalaman) getting you a return for around the £150 mark.

http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/lond/dlm/may-2009/may-2009/cheapest-flights-per-month-to-dalaman-from-london-in-may-2009.html

(Not sure if that'll work as a link .... soon see!)

I have just got back from a week in Hisaronu and unfortunately, my hotel (The Millennium) was the only bad thing about it. ...To say our room was basic would be kind.'

mmm. I value my sanity, and want a nice time, even if sleeping in a basic s++t hole.

Amended post to 08th May start as 01st has gone up.

General Comments

The Staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful, the bar and swimming pool is excellent as well as the food. Resort is amazing puts others to shame. Only bad point was the lack of visits from the cleaners - only twice in one week. Just got home today and we are already planning another trip next year.

Can get as many good as bad reviews.
#37
has anybody (except me) booked this?
#38
Hi Guys,

Just checked the T+C's....

14. In the event that an incorrect price has been entered in error, any booking made based on such incorrect price will not be valid. You will be advised of the mistake at the earliest opportunity and you will then have the option either to pay the correct price for the Accommodation or to cancel and receive a full refund of any monies you may already have paid.
