I've never played it on PC so can't answer that. Between a gamepad and touch screen I prefer touch screen as you tap what you want no fiddling with the controller. There is a glitch with the touch controls on some occasions that ends up changing your viewing direction which is slightly annoying. This isn't ever time you play but been present in game for a couple months now.

£4.99 on Amazon, so hot. Is it better than Survivalcraft?

No you don't need to buy different versions of the game it will work on tablets and phones so long it's your own account or shared using google family.

So I've just read that the “Super Duper Graphics Update,” is coming to Windows 10 and Xbox, for now I guess.

They're Infinite according to the developer you can walk for ages and get lost easily not sure what the world height is but it's high enough for making a skyscraper or a tower but there is a limit.

PEGI rating is 7 - "Non realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters - Violence that is set in a cartoon, slapstick or child like setting that could be upsetting to very young children - Pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children - Non realistic looking violence towards characters which although human are not very detailed
This game allows the player to interact with other players ONLINE"

If they can use a phone well enough to play Minecraft pe they probably are old enough to play minecraft, although I would make sure they avoid online. Kids who are 12 play pegi 18s so it's your decision at the end.

There are creatures that attack you in survival mode but there isn't any blood or gore and characters look kind of cartoon-ish . You're best check out YouTube videos to judge yourself. But can be played fine by 5 year olds. Stampy does great videos on a kids level but irritating for adults lol.

My daughter is 5 and is obsessed with Minecraft. Has been for a while. Probably started playing a year or so ago. She starts school this year.

EDIT: Tho I am the kind of parent that let her start playing Castle Crashers when she was 2. That's a 15. I still draw the line at Bioshock tho. ;)

You can play in 'creator mode' which is like Lego and you cannot be attacked.

There is also 'survivor' mode where you can get attacked by zombies and things but my son says there is a 'peaceful' mode on that where you don't get attacked but still have to find food etc for survival.
