No inventory on the GamePad is a massively missed opportunity. I can't recommend this version because of that unfortunately, but good deal OP.

When you get instances like this, you just wonder what they were thinking really... Baffling.

I agree, im not sure if comes to ninty dropping the ball (as usual) or micro-os not allowing to have the superior version in consoles... either way is just a shame..

They patched the gamepad stuff in, plus you have the free Mario pack.

What gamepad stuff they patch?

You can select stuff, but not full inventory, and off TV play. So not the full potential of the gamepad, but you can't "not recommend" the Wii U version because of it. Online community would be the drawback for me - unless I'm wrong and it's cross platform.

When you can get the exact same experience on other platforms for a cheaper price, seriously I can't recommend this version over them. For many people, the reason why they wanted on the Wii U was to craft items and access their whole inventory with ease on the GamePad screen while playing and not the ability to select items with it. Such a wasted opportunity and a deal breaker for many.

It's cheaper digitally, but £15 retail here is very good - DLC & the Mario Pack is included, so retail copy wise there's not much in it if at all.

I agree. Having bought this on PS4, that was the only thing that would have made me bite again.

Decent price but obviously as it's on other platforms it tends to be cheaper on those.

This is another Watch Dogs situation.

I bought this for two different nephews on their birthdays in the last two months, they both love it on Wii U, absolutely love it. Great price, heat!

No game pad inventory :0 ouch.. Massive is an understatement! Can they patch this in the future when the penny drops, or will it be permanently unfortunate? :(

Phew.. Should have read on instead of checking the Internet for confirmation :) glad they patched this! Insane to not have the gamepad inventory.. Might have to bite the bullet and finally buy a wiiU now! My god Nintendo holds its value :)

Perhaps if you happen to own a wii u this is a good purchase

If you own a wii u you should buy Cubelife instead which is far far superior and half the price.
