The force is not strong in you young padawan

These are good but I wouldn't attach it to my keys, it would break in a day.

I bought one of these for a mate and she was really chuffed with it.

Someone bought me one and they're okay but nothing special - wouldn't expect it to light your path or anything, Jedi or not!

Disgusted with this item.

Was no match or indeed any help when I took on a group of mouthy youth's recently

It should be noted that it's only a few inches long, and the "sabre" part does unscrew, leaving a relatively bright torch itself (the sabre is a piece of plastic with light "guides", so is not itself illuminated, but actually lit by the torch). But for the unscrewing part (taken care of with some superglue), I think it's relatively well made.

My little son loves it, but it is a novelty, not for burning through bulkheads or anything.

For £1.59 delivered what a great tree pressie /stocking filler for next Xmas! You're not going to expect amazing quality for that price. Voted hot :-)

annoying thing about these is they dont have a on/off switch, so you have to press button all the time

I have one. really great things.

You can unscrew the plastic sabre part and you're left with a VERY bright LED

Have you checked the batteries? Mine came with the top two batteries turned the wrong way round, presumably to stop them being run down in transit. Flipped them over and hey presto, mini lightsaber!

I was aked to buy a lod of these as gifts for my daughters school friends to put in sweet bags after a party , everyone of the 50 worked fine , none broke and all the kids loved them , those that say they broke in their pocket , well , you must have really tight trousers on , the plastic piece that lights up is very tough and goes down around 5 mm into the metal casing, it takes a lot of pressure to break them.

As already reported - its 99 cents at focalprice.com - thats about 60p. I got one for my kid about 2 weeks ago - took about 4 days to arrive so very impressive from overseas. He has not put it down yet, even goes to sleep with it!

I picked up cheap AG3 batteries from £shops (well in mixed packs of 40 or 50), so can renew this toy for no more than 10p. Hence worth buying - but not from Deal Xtreme - its not worth more than 99c in reality.
