"Mirror's Edge" for Xbox 360 - £10.00 instore in Sainsbury's (Morden, Surrey)

£10.00 @ Sainsbury's
Saw on HUKD it was £15 but they had it priced up as £10 instore this afternoon! They also had Smackdown vs Raw 2009 for £20 on the 360, not sure if this is good or not? Read More

"Generally Favourable"

I bought it from Play.com late last year for about £17. The story mode is great but quite short. Once you're done with that (and have become competent with the controls) you can tackle the time trial mode. Although it is rather addictive it is also unfortunately very frustrating. You'll get very, very annoyed when playing the game with purely speed/time in mind.

However, once you've finished the time trials you can then replay the campaign/attempt the speed-runs. Many of the time trials feature small chunks of maps from the campaign - so now you can blast through them again with your new found excellence and most likely experience the game in a new, less clumsy way.

I rate the game highly. I only hope it sold enough for a sequel to be considered.

Think this is a non-deal, definately one store specific.

Good game though, nice easy achievements (well most of them!)
#8
I'll second that.
Got mine for £10 from morden a week ago. But I think this is Morden only.

Couldn't have put it better myself, I think this is a well written review of the game. Many people gave up on the game early on, got frustrated in it and didn't invest time into improving their skill and accuracy - which is where the fun starts. I must agree though, I was aiming to complete the game 100% and it was extremely frustrating in parts.

I actually made a profit of about £15 selling this game on along with the ltd ed t-shirt. At this price I may just have to buy it back again!

these sainsburys deals are going the same way as the currys/pc world deals.....only 1 or 2 people in the whole uk find a copy cheap and heat goes rocketing,
dont blaming people 4 posting deals they find, blame the people who voting on it without checking the comments or actualy looking in store.

Sainsbury's seem to be VERYcheap for games since EUK went under, Are they selling off EUK's stock???
#13
Hey dotmac, a fellow Morden person! You don't work at the Civic Centre do you? ;-)
#14
i,ve been left disappointed before, sainsburys never reliable for nationwide deals, never been able to pick up any sainsburys offers put up on hukd.
#15
Cold. Must have been marked up wrong.
