For the discerning listener who desires sound quality within a system package with a full AV experience. The Mission Elan E3 AV system comes complete with the one pair of E34 Floor standers, one pair of E30 Book case speakers, one E3C centre channel and one E3AS sub woofer.
Fiercely independent, The Mission Elan E3 AV System is a collision of traditional and contemporary design - a modern interpretation of the classic Mission aesthetic. Sensational in its poise and steadfast in its presentation it is, above all else, a genuine expression of a passion for performance.
A range of models has been developed including bookshelf, wall mount, floorstanding, centre channel, subwoofer and surround speakers. Elan is a complete solution for the stereo and the home cinema enthusiast alike. Moreover, it has been engineered to reproduce the very best from any music or surround sound source.
The cabinet construction is shared with the Esprit to ensure a clean, superbly detailed dynamic sound with not only the lowest distortion in its class, but a wide dispersion for a flat in-room frequency response.
On the Mission Elan E3 AV series the Paramid drivers are formed using a sandwich structure. Aramid polymer fibres with incredible tensile strength are sandwiched between two stiffer pulp layers. This creates a cone which is very light and stiff, yet has superb internal damping. The internal damping drastically reduces cone-induced distortion by absorbing the transverse waves that travel through a cone following an impulse.
Bi-wire terminals are used to allow the bass and high frequency sections of a loudspeaker to be wired independently. All bi-wireable loudspeakers are supplied with 'bridging' clips, so that a single wire can be used if desired.
All Mission E3 series speakers use high grade OFC (Oxygen free copper). Copper is an excellent electrical conductor; however, oxygen impurities within the crystalline structure can adversely affect that conductivity. By refining the copper to a much higher grade of purity, electrical conductivity can be improved and hence signal quality.
All speakers are magnetically shielded loudspeakers and are ideal for use in close proximity to all television sets or wherever magnetic interference is an issue.
This Special Promotion is avaialble for Walnut Only

Agreed, most users are clueless muppets that go 'WAHT?!!? 500 QUID FOR SPEAKAS I SAW SOME SPEEKURS IN TESCO FOR 20 SQUIDS!!!'
TBH about this item i am clueless - but on the simple principal if its an item which cant be bought elsewhere for cheaper then its hot.
Whether thats true or not im too lazy to find out so not gonna vote.

If you are complaining because someone made a generalisation about the rampant stupidity on this forum then obviously you have missed the large number of threads voted cold for no good reason.

Mmmmmmmmmm, beans for 3p:thumbsup:
Oh, and voted hot for the OP as well!

no you make yourself look stupid quite well all by yourself
as another person said 'surprised this didnt crash and burn' , the only reason this isnt stone cold is because people are trying to prove me wrong even though normally this would be in the freezer

Where are the 3p beans??
Voted hot if only someone can show me those damn beans......... :whistling:
#23
Mmmmmmm, drooool, If I was still single & still had my own pad I definetley would order without a second thought, this is the kind of thing I spent my money on 10 years ago, I still have my Mission speakers from 12 years ago & they still sound better than any speakers any of my friends or family have.

Mission, quality, voted hot!
#24
At last you guys are giving these speakers the respect they deserve! Not only do they look the part, but there is no way you will get anywhere near this sound quality for that price anywhere else. My set are on their way :)
#25
Awesome deal, just wish i had the spare cash! Great pieces of kit. Heat added!

Lol, I knew what you meant straight away and without having to read it twice. It's not so much a generalisation but an observation and a fair enough comment really. Why anyone would take offence is laughable.

Now where are those 3p beans and 2 quid tellys?:-D

people need to calm down, i thought your initial comment was funny :D

Good price, i've got the set up from these with a better sub and centre, but the front pair are excellent, do a super job with music and make a great set of front stereo pair for movies.
#29
nice find, voted hot

I'm wondering what my chances are in talking the wife into a set of these speakers instead of a holiday?

Absolutely agree, so ready to argue some - it was a fair observation and it wasn't aimed at 'most' in terms of quantity; just meant that a lot of people would look at the price and think this isn't hot.

I adore Mission speakers myself, have a couple of sets of old Mission speakers myself, M70is in the gaming/pc room, along with a 70C Centre Speaker. Then the rather nice V61s in the lounge, this is a hot deal, adore the richness of sound with Mission speakers, really good midrange and tight, clean punchy bass response.

Been making quality kit for 31 years now, and this deal looks hot to me....voted such.

Voted hot by me for an excellent product at a great price.

Just wish I could back up my voting by purchasing, but out of my price range, unfortunately.

What? You trying to tell me that there is something wrong with Acoustic Solutions speakers at Argos for a fraction of the price, after all they all do the same job don't they...produce sound....geez save yourself £500 over this by buying a home theatre speaker setup from Argos :-D

I new exactly what you were getting at mate. 'Most' (is that the correct word??) of us on here agree totally with you, shame that 'some' (again - correct word??) just love a bit of the argumentative banter.

Why not split the forum into two parts -

Deals under £10

Deals over £10

I haven't done the numbers but I have been on here daily for several years now and I reckon the under £10 section would contain 90% plus of the tat and drivel people post.

Now I know that some of the best deals ever have been under £10 like the Pepsi deal, and Alton Towers rooms, though these days there are too many deals that say things like 'crisps reduced from 20p to 10p at Tesco' - this isn't a hot deal - its a reduction and even if you take advantage it isn't going to change your world or your pocket significantly?

I have found myself gradually reverting to visiting the Money Saving Expert site (which I arrived from due to the same reason!) as they have separate sections for the supermarket stuff and they get a lot of stuff that doesn't appear here any more.

I don't understand how you can get brilliant quality PC speakers for £100 but anything equivalent you connect up to a TV seems to cost at least 3 times that.
