You get a mix of both text and minutes 1 min = 1 text so you can have 550mins and 550 text ect ect...

you get selection of free phones to choose from - have a look on the 3 website.

plus 300 3 to 3 minutes

1.is the price quoted inclusive of VAT
2.is there any charge for receiving videocalls and MMS.. Certain other company like orange and o2 charge GPRS charge for MMS if i m right. Three is 3G..should not charge for receiving but just wanted to confirm..!
Thanks in advance..
Just a afterthought....
By choosing 1100 minute/ text option over phone.. you loose out £ 80 pounds via quidco.but gain £7 per month over 18 months.. so thats not bad..but if you really dont need those many minutes then i think better option is to go for the quidco link and add the friend referral at the end in the basket.. ( has worked for me earlier)

there is no charge for receiving.

I am trying to decide if i should go online with quidco or over the phone - i think im going to opt for quidco as i only really need the mix and match 700 plan.

If you ask your questions to an online agent via there website then they give you a 20 quid voucher for accessorys aswell (online only).

Apologies,

Never again.

Dont you still have to pay the £X amount per month for the handset though?

IE - if you wanted this tarriff with the N95 8GB, the final amount would be £20.25 plus £15 per month so £35.25 in total??

If anyone needs an introduction...

You might want to read what has been posted above - requests for referrals have already been removed from this thread earlier today.

So is three any good? Last time I looked (a year ago?) the network was a bit shoddy.

I signed up on the Mix n Match 1100 for £27 yesterday.

I opted for 3 because of their International saver add on which for £15 extra a month gives me unlimeted calls to mobiles and landlines in Hong Kong, USA, Canada, Australia and other countries.

Also, if you're on 3 it doesn't cost you anything to recieve calls in Italy, Sweden, Hong Kong, Australia and others also you can use your allowance to make calls back to the UK.

Telesales deal: £20.25 x 18 = £364.15
My way: £27 x 18 = £486 - £80 (Quidco) = £406 - £30 (Reccomend a friend credited within 60 days) = £376 - £20 (3 accesories voucher sent with the phone to be used on http://www.threeaccessories.co.uk for any value item/s) = £356

I phoned up to query about the same offer last weekend and was told that they did not accept a 3 customer referral? So no £30 for anybody?!!

Edit: Yup, just called them again: No 3 customer referral accepted.

I signed up on the Mix n Match 1100 for £27 yesterday, send me a PM and I'll give you my 3 number so we can both get £30 (plus come to me and I'll give you an additional code to get a £20 three accessories voucher code to be typed in on the basket page). The way to do it is go to 3's site via Quidco to get your £80, then click on where it says recommend a mate, then on the right hand side of the page click on already been recomended. Then choose the phone and package and if you've sent me a PM type in the code to get your additional £20 accessories voucher and then complete the order as normal.

i dont think you can include your 20 quid accesories voucher when working out cost - so yours cost 376 and telephone way is 364.

plus you are not allowed to ask for referals as has been mentioned a number of times on this thread

This could possibly be a new thread but can not confirm that it would be available to anyone else.
I was moved to the simplicity tariff (800mins+1000texts+lng wkend-sat,sun,mond xnet for £25 (incl. £5 discount)+a new handset SE P1i) when O2 changed their charges to 0870 numbers-there was a mightly long thread on this on HUKD.
Some weeks ago O2 changed their simplicity tariff meaning that I could get 1200 mins etc for £25 incl. my £5 discount. I called up CS who passed me on to retention as I wanted to be moved to the 1200 mins as I usualy go well above my allocation. I got through to a nice laday and explained to her that I wanted to be moved to the 1200mins while keeping my long weekend sat, sunday, monday and my discount.
She gladly did it and I was really happy. Called back the next day to confirm that the change had occured; only to find out that I wouldn't get long weekend sat, sunday, monday on this price plan and that they hadn't applied my discount.
Yet again I was lucky to speak to a realy nice person who said she will look into it and call me back.
I got a call back and was given some alternatives to choose from (pretty much their existing simplicity plans with current long wkend options or goin back to my old plan). In turn I said I will call back as I had to look into it and see what would be the best way forward.
In the mean time I got a call from O2 which went to voicemail. They left a message and a free number to call back on.
Called them and I wasn't able to speak to the lady who left the message but I did speak to somebody else who looked at my usage pattern. She went on to say whether I was told about their next plan up which is 3000mins xnet, anytime+3000texts+lng wkend sat, sunday xnet (2000mins(or any other simplicity options for £25+ tariffs)). I was shocked as this is a MEGA deal! She said the normal price is £35 but I could keep my discount and get it for £30.
I obviously promptly asked to b put on that. Called back the next day and the day after and yes yes yes, I am on that deal. I kindly, sweetly enquired how in the world did I get this deal? Is it coz they love me so much?-they guy said well its coz I have been with them for a while and have had high usage. I enquired about my discount and he said they applied it for 3 months but I explained that it was meants to be till the end of my term.
He said he will find out and call back as I didn't realy want to be on hold due to a mighty headake.
Got a call back from retentions who again confirmed that I had the deal mentioned above and that I would need to call back after 3 months to extend my discount as it might b due to system restrictions.

This has been a long post and I hope it helps some of u. I can not confirm that anyone else will get it and no, it does not appear on their website. I also need to wait for my bill to confirm it once again. I believe I will also get my O2 treats.

To anyone who belives I have made it up, all i gotta say is tough!! am not goin to indulge in any argument to prove what was told to me by O2 CS and what I believe I get atm.

I was on 3 but I found their network coverage poor in some parts of Scotland. O2 and Vodaphone are far better.

ok deal, but their call centres are awful so will stick to o2 which gave me the equivelent of this plan for £15 a month and a free k850i when i tryed to cancel. happy days

Meh, not fair. Vodafone won't match or go anywhere near what Three offer in comparison when I called them to cancel. Their reply is "yeah, but with Vodafone you won't have calls drop or suffer due to network problems" to which I said "but it's for personal use, not business so it's hardly the end of the world?"

Idiots. Off to Three I go!

Write a letter to cancel-the add is on the back of your bill. They will call you back to discuss your needs.
I have 500mins+100txt + free nok6500 for £20/12months on another one of my contracts with them after I sent a cancellation letter.
#28
personally i would avoid three, ive got a contract which luckily runs out next month had no end of problems with them, phone broke after 6 different collection dates i was still sat with a phone that didnt work when i phoned up all they did was give me 98p a day of my line rental, so i went into the three store and was told i bought the contract in england not northern ireland so if i wanted it sorting id need to take it back to the store i bought it, in the end took them just over a month to fix the phone. Then i tried to pay the bill and they told me my card had been declined so i phoned the bank and they said there was no problem it had been paid so i phoned three back but they didnt seem to understand and ended up taking 450 quid out my bank. From experience i will be changin network next month

Contract expires 9th April so the earliest I can cancel is 9th March. When this offer has finished with Three. So unless Three have a similar offer in the near future I'm stumped as to have anything to compare my current contract with. I'll request my PAC code next week though, that usually brings retentions round to calling me and offering me something to make me stay!

You should be able to play around with the 14day returns clause to cancel so that you could request you PAC from Vodafone and hopefully get a call back before the end of the 14 days while already having the contract from 3.
I am not too sure when you are meant to submit your PAC to 3 though, is it when you take out the contract or within the 14days!
Important to get it right.

Just tried to get an upgrade as an existing 3 customer, they didnt really offer me anything mouth watering, no better than what a new customer would get! I'm going to wait till the middle of next month and give my 30 day notice and see if they can offer me something better using the 'do you want to leave 3 option' on their automated call system!
#32
Though plan and minutes wise looks good. But voted cold as 3's network sucks.

hi.do not tell them you want to upgrade as they will offer you a rubbish deal.in order to get a good upgrade deal say you want to cancel your contract.you go to push them to the limit!!!!good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Well guess what i have heard.

3 are doing a 50% discount on there Broadband tariffs for existing customers and free dongles as well.

Also they have new Texter tariffs that they have not officially launched to but are available, The tariffs consist of

500 mins anytime any network with unlimited text for £25.00 per mth

750 mins anytime any network with unlimited text for £35.00 per month
3000 text fair usage policy on both tariffs also available on 12 or 18 mths contracts

How good does that sound. I will definitely be calling to take a contract.

number to call is 08003589560 08707330330 08003586946
