4x good quality high ball glasses in Tesco are 79p. What's so special about these other than some perceived benefit of buying from M&S?

They're lovely glasses, way below the RRP. 79p > 49p.

Same glasses in ASDA. I bought a load from M&S at 50p each months ago, then spotted them in ASDA a few weeks back. Bought a load there too as ASDA were doing 6 for £2 or something like that.

Great glasses, these are the only ones in my cupboard that don't break!! They're really thick and actually lovely to drink from, pretty much kid proof too, 49p is a great deal , I got mine instore for 50p standard price so you could go and have a look at them.

I just found a broken one in my cupboard. I've not had much luck with them so far, that's the 2nd that has broken on me. There were a lot broken on the shelf in M&S when I bought them too, the cashier had to swap one out for me as I'd not noticed the crack until she was wrapping them for me. Best glasses I've had so far are Hiballs from Ikea. Bulletproof, even when stacked.

Are you saying in post 18, that the asda or M&S ones were cracked :? maybe they're different qualities.

Both. I had one cracked in both lots when I got to the checkout! and there were quite a few on the shelf in both shops that were cracked. Ikea glasses FTW.

Anyone else received their glasses? Mine arrived earlier today and half had shattered as they were badly packaged.

Mine arrived yesterday. Their packaging was practically non-existant!:w00t: I was amazed only two out of 16 were splintered/broken at the base of all places:? and when checking the others there were about 3 with little air bubbles/holes in their base on the Tall glasses. The tumb lers seemed okay though.

Spoke to M & S with my concerns, who kept apologising. They'd said they'd replace any I'm not happy with or give a full refund (without wanting any of the glasses back). They also confirmed they'd had problems with brakages not only due to packaging but the glasses in general.

As I needed them as "everyday glasses" to be used by kids as well as adults, I didn't want to risk any more brakages while they were being used. Too riksy!

Sadly all being sent to bottle recycle bank, with a full refund being given.
