OK, sorry for being retarded but could I have 300mins AND 300 txt for £15 ?
#3
I thought the £15 500 minutes is the best deal, and earlier than that they were giving people 500 mins +100 texts for £15 (now £20)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#4
also to get certain phones you have to buy a add on which you cannot cancel. wanted a n95 as a upgrade but he would only give it me if i payed £9 on top of any of the mix and match contracts for 90 video minutes and this had to be on for the whole of the contract
#5
Blinding deal i will see what handsets they are offering. Cheers
#6
Last months £15 a month was better in my opinion, wish I had taken up their offer.

£15 a month for either

600 texts + 75 mins

300 mins + 100 texts

Being a texter mainly, the 600 texts would comfortably last a month and the 75mins would have been a bonus, I was just waiting for the Sony phone to come out on Three, which it does this month, but unfortunatly they've stopped the deal, disappointing.
#7
Don't forget if you know an existing Three customer, use their number to 'refer' you and you both get £30 credited to your account. Great deal. Plus, there is also a way to get this £30 AND Quidco.

this deal is still available - you just gotta hunt for it...

for the phone/talktime package I wanted it's now almost £100 more over the length of the contract.
#10
I would certainly recommend tHree...me and my wife are both on it, plus we have converted 1 daughter so far!

AND dont forget....Quidco pays out for definite...no worries there

RAF...refer a friend...always good to get some extra dosh off your bill! just find someone already on three...check the posts here you'll find someone happy to give you their number

and I think if you contact the live advisor, you may still be able to get the code for a free bluetooth handset...haven't seen this mentioned in a while, but I think its still used as a sweetener...mind you , its only worth about £7 in real terms...but if its free....try for it.

AS much as i hate three, yesterday i renewed for year.
Didn't like the handsets they offered me, so for £10/month, TWELVE month contract (which i do not believe any of the above are), i got 500 mins and 100 texts, X-network.
Not sure if i got better deal.....

EDIT: All the mix & match tariffs are 18 month only
#12
Seems quite good if the other people you normally call are also on 3 as you get 300 3 to 3 minutes as well as your 300 mins or text on the £15 tarrif. So essentially if you only ever called other 3 members and you used your other 300 for texts you'd get 300 mins and 300 texts for £15pm.

Still the cheapest network around and i've been with them for over a year and very pleased with them so far.

Also go via quidco and if you want a refer a friend number to get a further £30 credit on your account feel free to PM me ;)
#13
Good offer but doesnt seem to give you an option to choose your exact mix e.g. 150 mins and 150 txts for the £15 plan.

Clearly states any mix of the 2, but nowhere on checkout to do so.

I think that's the whole point Mikeyp, it's about flexibility.

You are not tied down (for that read, allowed anymore) to a precise mix, it's more fluid, so if you want EXACTLY 150 mins AND 150 texts, you cannot, unless you control your own personal usage.

Three Mix and Match Picker helps you decide which plans suits best, based on your minutes and texts needs.
#15
Yeah I get it, so it would be automatically worked out on your bill. Explains why the call charges are the same as text charges if you go over.

Pretty good deal.
#16
Kinda about to say the same thing as my mate boydent who form the "3LC" - 3 Lovers Club!

In effect, it's like T-Mobile's Flext Price Plans:

You get X amount Credit with them and prices of calls and texts etc differ!

With the Mix & Match 500, it's like you get £500 credit to spend - Calls cost £1 per minute and texts cost £1 each - THEY DON'T before anyone has a go at me!

If you sent 200 texts, you'd then be left with £300 "credit".

It's not a bad deal, I think T-Mobile beat this though, but at least it gives you a choice of Network!

:-DOh man, it hurt to renew, til she said £10/month for what i am paying £25/month for now, plus 100 texts thrown in for free. Ok, no new handset, but i don't like any :giggle:

The way you have explained it there, is a great way to outline how it all works, nice work

What i don't like about this deal, it is 18 month contract, and replaces all the older tariffs, unless you're an upgrading customer whereby you can stick with your current tariff.

Not quite sure what to make of it yet, haven't voted either way
#18
It hurts me to say it, I'm tempted to take a contract out with them! £18 a month for the dreaded 18 months. Get the Nokia E61 for free and the Tom Tom stuff with it too. Total Term Cost £324, phone (although there is an E61i due out, if it's not out already) you could probably get about £50 for it on ebay, maybe the same with the Tom Tom goodies too! I only need the phone to go abroad with! :) And as it's Dublin, 3 has a network there, so it's all out of my minutes! Hmmmm....

Also, not sure how much you'd get through Quidco! No mention of the Mix & Match Tarrif's! Hmmmmmm.......
#19
Lol, it's awful.....i think we should wait for our other Club Member, Dino, he loves 3 as much as we do, maybes he can decide our fate :giggle:

Have you not rang the upgrades teams, or is that an upgrade you have been offered? Have a read of this post about the E61 and TomTom. Might be isolated but not sure.

As for handsets, it wasn't worth "buying to sell" really, and i am using a Nokia 6070, unlocked , cos i just wanted a basic phone really. I don't make video calls and don't use the net either.

Don't wanna buy my Qtek 9000 do you?

I've just noticed, you get free Skype and Yahoo with all contracts, that was £5/mth in last month's talker/texter deals
#22
You can still get the 600 txt and 75 minute tarrif for £15. When on the mix & match page, click on 'more of a texter' and they are there.

It is unlocked, and takes a 3 sim card, dunno the technicalities above that, it just does

Now, Three are officially liars, the 2nd time i have said that.

The offer i have outlined above has been revoked. :x

They said they have made a mistake in offering me what they did do, and have changed their minds :x.

Sounds like court, but for real this time.....:x

best way to control your usage once on a contract is using the "3" button/menu on the phone and check usage tells you how many mins and text used/free in an instant.

can you refer yourself and get £60?

I already have a contract with them so can I refer myself and get £30 on my old contract and £30 in the new one?

Anyone tried this?

I'm going on a round the world trip later this month, and I was thinking about going for this, but have a couple of questions on roaming that I was hoping someone could help me with:

1) When roaming abroad (not on 3's network) I was wondering whether the skpye or msn messsenger still works, and is included as free still?

2) When roaming abroad in Australia and in an area when 3 can't be obtained I was wondering whether the skpye or msn messsenger still works, and is included as free still?

Thanks

Yes, only geographical numbers are included.
Here is a 3 price guide, PDF format

does anyone know how much quidco you get for this? the amounts seem to be for the old tariffs. And an earlier post mentioned getting quidco and the refer-a-friend bonus; is this as simple as going via quidco then entering my buddy's phone number when prompted?

Seems like a good price to me. Just finished an o2 contract, best they offered me was £20 per month for 500 mins + 100 txts and £100 credit for keeping my old phone. The £18 per month deal here has slightly less but with the quidco and RAF i get nearly as much cash back plus a new phone. No complaints
#35
Sorry for bumping an old thread but can anyone explain how you get the quidco and the refer a friend at the same time.

Quidco has been updated with the new tariffs but after you click through I dont see an option to add the referral.

If you fill in the details on the 3 website for the referral then you get an email with a link in it so cant get the quidco.

How can you get both when you order?

Edit: Found the box on the checkout screen.

I know this is an old thread but I was just looking for some advice, I phoned three yesterday to upgrade and was told that the mix and match contracts are for new contracts ONLY even after threatening to cancel and even requesting my pac code they said I cant upgrade to a mix and match contract, they also said I can not port my number from my existing three contract to a new three contract which I would have done to keep my number.
#39
just take the pac code and then wait for them to call you back when they will offer you practically anything to make you stay

never did with me. I was due an upgrade but they wouldn't offer the mix and match tariffs so I left.
