Top Features of the Mizuno Wave Prophecy Shoes
Pinnacle of Mizuno’s technology and design.
Engineered for runners demanding outstanding performance and seeking the most responsive cushioned ride available.
Two full length Waves replace the traditional moulded EVA midsole. Connected by a special compound rubber which is not only highly cushioned, but very light.
When the heel hits the ground the wave disperses energy through the entire full length wave plates and then in one harmonious single movement, springs back an unparelleled responsive energy return into the forefoot area for a smooth toe off.
Prophecy’s Wave system will go on delivering outstanding cushioning for much longer than traditional foam midsoles which often compress over time and lose their elasticity, cushioning and support.
Don’t Predict the Future….Make it! Mizuno Wave Prophecy

A prophecy can be described as the process of a message being communicated to others; such messages typically involve divine inspiration or revelation of events to come. When Mizuno first introduced their groundbreaking Wave technology, they made the prophecy that someday in the future a mechanical midsole would give runners the ride of their dreams. And it’s safe to say the future has been made with the arrival of the Japanese brand’s most highly engineered technical running shoe to date – the Mizuno prophecy has been fulfilled.
The Wave Prophecy is Mizuno’s top of the range Spring/Summer 2011 running shoe and represents the very pinnacle of the brand’s technology and design. Engineered for runners demanding outstanding performance and seeking the most responsive cushioned ride available, the feeling of the Wave Prophecy is totally unique and expected to inspire interest amongst runners all over the world.

Two full length moulded Waves replace the traditional moulded EVA midsole, allowing the wearer to really feel the full dynamic effect of Mizuno’s Wave technology with optimal cushioned comfort and heightened responsive energy return. This is achieved by the design of integrating two Waves connected by cushioning pillars. When the heel hits the ground the Wave starts the cushioning process by dispersing the energy through the entire full length plates and then in one harmonious single movement, springs back an unparalleled responsive energy return into the forefoot area for a smooth transitional toe off.

In addition to delivering the obvious ride enhancements that are immediately apparent, the Prophecy’s Wave system will go on delivering outstanding cushioning for much longer than traditional foam midsoles which often compress over time and lose their elasticity, cushioning and support.

With the ultimate combination of cushioning and durability, the Wave Prophecy is truly an exciting running shoe for runners everywhere.

I run (lots of miles a week) but I just cannot justify or understand why you would be willing to pay 127 on runners, I simply think they are massaging ego's and image, I dont think they will perform or absorb shocks better than a decent mid-price shoe. comments?

Ok I have had these for a few days now and managed to put some good runs in with them and IMO they are the best shoes I have ever had, they just roll from front to back like they say a wave they dont feel heavy like some of the reviews say, I have had no splint trouble or pain in the knees I'm very Impressed yes they are expensive and yes maybe the image of them I like as they look good but you get what you pay for and they are deffinately are step up from the kinseis which I also adored .

One day I was talking to an elderly friend Harry, who used to be a consultant surgeon at a local hospital when a very fit looking couple jogged past. Harry watched them and slowly shook his head as they disappeared into the distance and muttered, "If they only knew the damage that they were doing to themselves." I suppose that he must have seen lots of injuries caused by jogging so he thought that the activity was quite risky but he did agree that long term damage could be greatly lessened by reducing as much jarring to the joints as possible. He said that running on grass helped a lot and that good, cushioning footwear was essential especially for running on hard surfaces. The point is that for those who jog a lot it is worthwhile buying the best running shoes that you can get or you may regret it in the years to come. :)
