Terrible year for it, reason for the low price. If gifting best to get the vastly superior 2004 or even the 2013 was better than this 'Pi*swater'

I had a Dom 2002 the other day and it was the most amazing thing that I have ever tasted.

Seems a bit harsh (p-water comment not the wine). I've had a couple of bottles of this when it was featured in an Ocado smartpass 50% offer (£20). I thought it was nice and reckon it's decent value for £30 compared with most nv bottles. Heat from me :)

Not the best year

paid £60 in dubai duty free 2 weeks ago, so i guess it is a hot deal for moet, and i got ripped off!

A floral bouquet: Initial notes of just ripened fruits-peach, mango and banana-are rounded out with mature notes of white pepper, flint and marzipan. As the wine breathes, the bouquet is refreshed with floral and delicately botanical notes of honeysuckle, bergamot and anis and a slight sniff of a **** aftertaste.

you need a pretty cabinet to keep it in.

For £30 this is still over priced. Get a nice bottle of English Sparkling wine like Chapel Down - Blanc de Blanc. Around £28 a bottle and is excellent. Its not champagne but it is better!

Yup. But it was....

I'd love to get these wine/champers snobs on a blind taste test....:p

I'd love to go on one!

I'd love to go on one!

Do it then, buy the Tesco champagne, Dom P, Moet Vintage and the normal Moet and get a few people around, split the cost! I would love to do it do but its tough to justify spending so much on a single bottle!

I've never driven a Ferrari as that would appear ostentatious. My current wheels are a 2004 Toyota Previa...

I'm reminded of that fantastic episode of Come Dine With Me from Sheffield in 2010 where the insufferable GP wine snob got absolutely owned on the final night by the host getting some empty posh wine bottles and filling them with Asda wine box wine and afore-mentioned wine snob going into raptures about the quality of wine being served. Hilarious :p

Who are the snobs? The people that have tried something before and are trying to help people? I recommended a bottle that was cheaper and of higher quality. Knowing about things and trying to offer advice is not snobby. Mentioning Dom P is nicer is a bit snobby but as I tried to indicate yes it is but costs about £115 a bottle.

Looks nice, will have to try that.

Can anyone recommend a decent bottle for Christmas? What will you be cracking open on Christmas Day?

Can't go wrong with Taittinger...

Or there is a Pol Roger Pure at Waitrose right now on offer....

I never pay more than £22 a bottle so keep your eyes open for offers.....

Surely it is illegal to have relations with a 14 year old called Dom?

Love CDWM. I remember the episode. It was hilarious as he actually did that. WHO does that?!
