Its Sunderland! They normally use treacle in their engines, thats why ASDA can sell it cheaply there.

if you want fully synthetic 0-30 the best place is costco...only £23 inc VAT for the big 4L or 5L tub (cant remember how many litres the big one holds). bargain!

I saved £60 on my oil service by providing my own oil.

You have got to be joking!

No only use Mobil 1 on a monster engine like that.

On a serious note 10w 40 is most likely the recommended spec for your engine, however this premium 5w 30 oil will be fine.

I don't think one of those would be good with this oil. More from a leaking/oil consumption perspective than anything.

Voted hot from me.....similar experience was in need of oil noticed it was a tenner on Halfords website then paid 9.89 in a Tesco service station.

I could still use some for a turbo diesel, anyone notice the price of those while they popped in?
#32

Those more expensive petrols (eg. Shell V-Power) are high RON fuels with cleaning agents- you may feel a difference under throttle with certain breed of cars, eg high performance sports cars.

Semi-synthetic oils have a longer lifespan over standard oils, meaning less frequent oil changes, and they also reach working temperature quicker, meaning less damage from cold.

I haven't had a bad experience and I won't.
Not with this garbage.
If the makers haven't the sense to specify wether it is suitable for petrol or diesel, there's no way I would use it.
Not even if it was free!

Think about it.
There's no mention on any bottle what it's meant for.
Petrol, diesel, turbo, non turbo, they all need diferent oil.
If they don't know they should do that....what else don't they know that they should?

Good luck to anyone who buys this pig in a poke.

BTW. I'm dissing the manufacturer, not the poster.

If you are unable to find the information regarding what oil is suitable for your car, you should ask a more informed person to help you, rather than arrogantly projecting your ignorance onto the oil supplier.

It doesn't say petrol OR diesel, because it works in both, depending on the specification you require.

If you use your brain to direct your eyeballs toward the left side of this image, you will see it says, directly on the bottle, "Meets ACEA A1/B1; ?1 SL, FORD WSS-M2C913-A / WSS-M2C913-B". Enough information for anybody to ascertain suitability for their engine.

REPLY> If you wern't so busy biting your nails to the quick, you would have noticed that I DID ask for help, in this thread but no one answered.

2.....It doesn't say petrol OR diesel, because it works in both, depending on the specification you require.

REPLY> I also contacted the manufacturer who said it was NOT suitable for my car and they suggested a totally diferent oil.
So, it is patently NOT suitable for all engines.

3...If you use your brain to direct your eyeballs toward the left side of this image, you will see it says, directly on the bottle, "Meets ACEA A1/B1; ?1 SL, FORD WSS-M2C913-A / WSS-M2C913-B". Enough information for anybody to ascertain suitability for their engine.

REPLY> My brain works fine but it is not privy to obscure codes used by manufacturers and known only to anoracks!

My advice to YOU is to stop giving out duff advice that could ruin peoples engines.
Unless, of course, if that was your intention.

Seeing as you like codes, try this one> GO FORTH AND MULTIPLY!!!
