Dont understand the cold votes, Unless me and hundreds of other people are thick, there hundreds of these bottles getting knocked out of the checkouts.

have some heat

usually £20 for 5ltrs cheapest in halfords - when its discounted from £25 (even with a trade card it costs £20 for 5ltrs)

so paying £15 for 5ltrs is quite good value, and with these u can actually buy how many litres you need, (i need 3.2ltrs) so £12 for full service and for a branded oil is excellent value imo.

excellent price voted hot was in the other day and was hoping to find 0-40 but no joy
#4
I find this price very hard to believe even at £4.00, average price is around £9 per litre (btw picture shows a 5 litre size)

Asda must be losing on this deal.

HOT

Thanx for those who gave it heat, I don't know why it was cold either.

Any one help as to putting a picture on via bluetooth as I'm not sure how to do it. Someone has kindly been adding pics for me.:)

Looks good to me, ACEA A3, hot hot hot.

Is it in all Asda or superstores only?
#8
This is good stuff, might have to go and stock up at this money.

This HAS to be the cheapest in the UK for this oil.
I am going today to get 10 litres ......... will keep for next years service too.
HOTTTTTTTTTT

This is a hot deal as this oil is approved for VW which would normally cost between £16 - 20. Per litre, got some last week at £4, even better now

Don’t under stand the cold votes

This is Mobil’s premium 10w/40 Semi synthetic oil, this isn't made from crap base oil like other cheap oils, this is quality product made from quality base stock at an unbelievable price, must be a loss leader.

You should find the required oil spec. somewhere in the handbook but I'd be very surprised if this wasn't OK in a Rover 25.

Nice price - voted hot. Just a word of warning - this is an ACEA A3/B3 oil which means its okay for older diesel cars but not direct injection diesel (which most are these days). For direct injection diesel look for ACEA A3/B4. Okay for petrol though.

Good find OP, H&R added.

Tesco Value oil would be generous for a Rover 25!

I have a 04 GOLF which states it needs 5W30 Fully syn which i have been paying a fortune to top up but since a minor leak its been hungry for oil so i switched over to Mobil 5W30 Super FE Semi Synthetic and its working fine......HOT HOT DEALLLL

By the way would the 10w40 be ok for a 1998 Micra? or is it better to use the 15w40?

If in doubt refer to user manual but I'd be surprised if 10W/40 wasn't OK in the Micra. Personally I'd say ACEA A3 spec. 10W/40 oil like this Mobil is probably OK for virtually all mainstream petrol engined cars for use in the UK, excluding really high performance / turbo stuff . Modern diesels are much more fussy about their oil as mentioned up thread.

Just cleared out Morecambe ASDA of this, sign said £4 but scanned at £3.

They have some other Mobil stuff but its not as good.
