where does it say about included £15 top up?
#3
ZTE MF112 Black USB Modem
Includes a £15 starter top-up

top of the page its states it. where was the link found as i cant find it from the three site and iv tried a few combinations
#4
realistically how long would £15 last just general web browsing face book and email?
#5
i placed the order, and used quidco, got an email saying :

What you’ve ordered: ZTE MF112 Black USB Modem

One-off cost: £9.99

Price plan: Broadband (5GB)

What you’ll pay: £15.00 per month.

Minimum contract length: 1 Months

Oh dear, gonna cancel in the morning now!

:w00t: ohhh no

looks like the url shows the use of an offer code but the url also clearly shows it should be payg
#8
I just came across the link on a price comparrision site
#9
how did you manage to get it through Quidco? if i can get via quidco i really want one
#10
ok the url for that offer code should be
http://threestore.three.co.uk/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=1MB5GD010
so i fear this is either a glitch on the 3 site where by its letting this offer go through but only charging you for the dongle and not setting you up on a monthly payment OR

the above link is what the offer should actually read on the three site
#11
best avoided, not pay as you go, but a 1 month contract.... very ambiguous to say the least....

I would agree! But that email above states differently
#13
sorry guys for all the posts but trying to get to the bottom of this quickly before people order.

Looks like the site this came from is http://www.the3shop.co.uk/mobile_broadband/best_mobile_broadband_deals.aspx

And if you look down you will see under the PICK button the offer code 1MB5GD010 which relates to this deal

The site is flakey however and if you go back from the basket and try add another dongle it says basket full then you go to your basket again and it has a diffrent price so.

I would agree this shhould be as stated a 1 month contract deal £15 a month one off payment £9.99 for the dongle not payg as stated.

just checked quidco, and tracked at £23
#15
Hi

Not sure if it'll track this way in Quidco, but stil good deal anyhow

Log into quidco and click three's link

On 3 homepage select drop down box on quickfinder and search product. Select PAYG Broadband Dongle

Once page reloads select ZTEMF112 option at £29.99, should be top one of list

This is showing as £29.99 but should be £9.99 hence deal.

Now in IE/Firefox address toolbar at top replace the address at the end where it says

http://threestore.three.co.uk/payg/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=DSLPP504

You need to replace that I have highlighted with the following

1MB5GD010&id=1183 and refresh screen, the offer should now replace to the £9.99 option and the tracking cookies will still track this but at the now reduced price of £9.99 once through checkout.

Total Cost £9.99 tracks hopefully at £12 meaning 3 broadband dongle fo reveryone and a couple of quid in back pocket

This should work but I will keep an eye of quidco to see when it tracks in

I noticed this on my receipt but just thought it was the prce plan of possible £15 top up credit per month, didnt cross my mind that it was monthly contract

Ringing them now
#17
They are shut at the moment, order this at same time as surahman without quidco, might just wait and see whats posted. They re open at 9 tommorow
#18
how did you get quidco and at this price
#19
its definitely NOT PAYG . its a monthly rolling contract
#20
Ok guys Im pretty confused right now.

Yes this offer is as i see it supposed to be 1 month rolling contract at £15 a month

It does say Payg on the site

It also takes you to the payg payment page and not the contract paying page which is different, have a look to see yourself.

The terms and Conditions at the bottom of the page that you agree to are for payg not contract.

The only grey area is the part at the top of the page that states "Now for some info about you. Fill in your details below so we can do a credit and fraud prevention check and process your order."
which indicates they are auth to run a credit check on you even although its payg which in turn would allow them to put you on a contract, obviously you could cancel if that was the case.
Im just a bit unsure how this is likely to process on three's system

It clearly states pay as you go, I've taken screen shots as they honoured the last cock up they made :)

They will just get you to fax the screen shots and all will be sorted.

Also it says

Your reference number:
What you’ve ordered: ZTE MF112 Black USB Modem
One-off cost: £9.99
Price plan: Broadband (5GB)
What you’ll pay: £15.00 per month.
Minimum contract length: 1 Months

The £15 is the voucher they are giving you.

I agree. I have read thorugh all condition sI could find and it is definitely not a contract but PAYG equivalent. I quess if you dont pay the £15 you dont get the allowance, just like pay as you go.

Even on simplicity with o2 rolling monthly contracts you had to agree to credit checking etc but this is definitely being classed as PAYG. I never had to tick a box to say I agree I must pay £15 every month or they ill chase me. The shopping basket, the section the deal cam eunder all say PAYG

I will phone them in the morning to be sure but hopefully if a glitch they will honour it. If it was rolling monthly then surely I would have had to declare more information than I did when in checkout as this would have genearated a rolling billing account with 3. Some form of diret debit needed but just took my 9.99 form card and that was it.

If defo PAYG then hot deal for price of dongle as can be easily unlocked

interesting....

Just got email from quidco, tracking as £23 not £12. £23 isn't even listed under any of the offers  I reckon.
#25
rang em up, its a rolling one month contract, and they wont honor the deal as shown etc.... so canceled it.
#26
I too rang them, mentioned the remarks about PAYG and screens baove but weren't reluctant to do anything. Tries hardest to sell me pros on rolling month but not worth it. Still have to write to them and give 30 days notice.

Cancelled order.

Deal should be expired as not a true PAYG deal
#27
I sent an email this morning and I have just received a call from three.

They said they've had a lot of people calling about it, and that it was an error on their site. They said IT are looking into it at the moment to see what happened.

The basically said it should have been a 1 month contract, and shouldn't have been showing up as Pay as U Go. All they will do is cancel the order, or let you take it as a 1 month contract, they wouldn't honour it as a PAYG deal (even though it was advertised this way on their site).
banned#28
You're all idiots, why would you call them to let them know? stinks of stupidity.

Anyway as I said, last time they made an IT cock up they honoured it for hundreds of people, I don't expect anything less this time

edit: it is also still showing as Pay as You Go.

I didn't say I've had an email confirming despatch.

I said it's being delivered Tuesday, which I think I selected. Could be wrong though - may just have been earliest day available and I misread.
