The title and price are both misleading, as it looks like youre getting the phone for 9.99, then £10 for the top up.

You have to pay £29.99 to get the phone, however you look at it, so that is the price.
£5 Cashback via Quidco available too..
Looks a nice phone. I'd appreciate a better camera as vga cams aren't so clear

Thanks but why have you posted sim onlys?
This phone alone is worth around £390
So lets do the maths.
720-125-30-390 = 175
175/18 = 9.72
so you're paying 9.72 a month for a 600min and unlimited text sim only. Bargain. :w00t:
Thank you and have a good day.

Bear in mind you get 60 free movie downloads with this phone.
The internet is not something everyone goes for,
people who will be going for this phone are primarily looking for a great camera, with great music functionality.
RRP of phone is £239.99 at most places. maybe more at others.
600 mins and unlimited texts on a sim only is generally around 20 a month, unless you sign in with vodafone for 15 a month for 12 months which is 180£..
but the £40 a month gives people the flexibility to spread payments and have a great phone with a huge allowance of minutes and texts.

Very good explanation. I liked it....

I was with Voda last year and their branded firmware was awful. I'd recommend staying with O2. Here's the O2 deals at M2YD
philyuk;6606550
In store £399.99 sim free.

I agree deal is good with minutes just making point that its less if you already have a sim to put in!

Went into a CPW shop and it is selling at £499. Can you tell us which shop is doing it at £399?
Synergie;6608919
Is this only on Vodafone? Because I'm with O2 & have waited 6mths for it to come out. I heard a rumour that it was on Vodafone only so I went to give notice on my contract (which expired 6mths ago) & they swore blind that it was coming to O2. I am going to throttle someone if they lied to me!!

I wouldn't put it past them lying to you to prevent you cancelling. Happens all the time. You shouldn't have to but truth is you're better off asking them kind of questions on an impartial website.

I cannot find this deal with 500mb data? Has this now expired??
then silly busy bodies, I have a N95... log onto facebook 5 to 6 times a day, have slick software that logs me on msn and yahoo automatic and i have never used more than 120mb in a month.

what person would get a phone and download continuous yotube without wifi anyway, Clearly they should have their heads tested...lol....

I am very choosey with packages and vote this hot, though must admit I got retentions to offer me the same deal with unlimited web content for £25.00 guess you get more if you ring them and speak to the right people.

Just make honest hot/cold judgements on the deal at hand.....

I would reckon that 99% of people who use mobile data for web and email don't use more than 100mb or even 150mb on a busy month.

How is it t-mobile deal for N97 costs more pm,charges for voicemail, doesn't give free home broadband and has got so hot just for the fact they give 1gb vs 500mb for mobile data?!

This is a funny place indeed!

You'll be suprised, i've had my htc magic two weeks on tuesday and already i've used 350mb, admittedly 280 of that has been over wifi, but thats because i can jump onto my connection at home and the office connection when i'm at work, i havent downloaded any thing and only watched a handfull of youtube clips, so anyone who doesnt have access to wifi at work they could easily go over if they are not carefull.

this validated on my quidco today at £5, you will need to put in an enquiry if you want the correct amount
Small summary based on yours experience
This phone you can buy with simcard on:
-Orange=simlock
-T-Mobile=unlocked
-Vodafone=unlocked

My one is with voda sim card and came unlocked and with debranded menu just like direct from nokia
Hi,
Had anyone got the full quidco as I orderd mines more then a week ago and I only got 5pound. Thanks
Just had two delivered: one Orange PAYG, one T-mobile PAYG.

The T-mobile 1661 appears to be unlocked and works with T-mobile, Orange and O2 sims.

The Orange 1661 only works with the Orange sim - all others result in a "Sim not valid" message. Based on that, I'd say it was locked.

Even if you only get 10/12 months free, you can't complain cos after you sell the phone and get the quidco you still break even.

I'd like to keep my vodafone number though but it doesn't look as if this will be possible if I take out another contract with vodafone?

Might be worth ringing them up. You might be able to do it with Vodafone after you've started your contract... I've heard people say that they've done this successfully, but I'd want to check that it doesn't affect my M2YD cashback.

If you don't need a contract until October then it's probably worth waiting... the mobile phone market is a bit slow at the moment, but there will hopefully be better phones available later in the year.

Sorry for the delay in replying.
Thank you duckmagicuk2  I came to look for one of your cashback deals as my current one (also with M2YD) is nearing the end of its contract. It doesn't look as if there are too many decent ones around these days so not sure whether to go for this or wait to see what comes up next (if anything!). I have another contract which runs until Oct so I'm not in a hurry. I'd like to keep my vodafone number though but it doesn't look as if this will be possible if I take out another contract with vodafone?

Each to their own, but I'd 'risk' £400 cashback over 6-12 months in favour of a £160 console up front, anyday of the week. Especially when the T&C's are soooo easy.
In current climate I would personally take a instant free gift over cashback. Not saying this is a particularly good offer, just that cashback over 18 months is riskier than ever. Some of these firms have gone pop in the past and I am sure that more will follow. I would rather know I had a gift in hand than be worried both about missing my cashback opportunities and the company not being there to pay out.
I'd recommend M2YD as they are very quick to send the cashback and make it very easy for you to claim correctly - they give you 60 days and even print on the form when you need to send it.

I wouldn't go for this deal though - you be better off going for something like this which is a nokia 6300 £40pm with 750mins 250 texts and 10 months free. You'd only pay £50 (after quidco and cashback) which is £310 less than the OP, which leaves plenty of change even after you have bought a Wii.

There may be even better deals on but I only had a quick look.
My experiences with M2YD have been good - but I'm underwhelmed by this offer.
you cant trust m2yd they sent a phone and i had to wait 6 weeks for my phone then wouldnt pay the quidco and wouldnt send the cheque for cashback
