It says it's priced at £54.99 until June 30th, can't see anything about £37.99. Bought it the other day with quidco and the Argos £30 itunes cards for £20 so made it a bit cheaper (huge thanks to my good mate "pinecladding")

British Isles is £37.99
Europe is £54.99

Check on the Itunes App Store.

Sorry I posted the link to the actual product site, rather than the itunes store.

Looks good...now should I get this and sell the 'ol tom tom on ebay or just wait for the tom tom offering?!?!??

From the reviews, looks to be a cheap and cheerful alternative to TomTom, rushed out to fill the gap until TT arrives. Price looks good, but a couple of points to consider -

No full postcode search - only uses 5 characters
Maps reportedly a bit old compared to TomTom

Having said that, still voted hot, as it's a good satnav for under £40 if you have the iPhone, even better if you got the Argos vouchers. May get even cheaper when TomTom announce release date / pricing - if TT comes out at £50-£60, watch this one drop in price

its ok..bu the tomtom i out in a fortnight

I think I will stick with Google maps, it does what I need and it can pinpoint where I am.
#8

Where did you get that Tom Tom release date from....no one seems to know at the moment. Also, doesn't the Tom Tom require you to buy the mount (to boost the GPS)? And no one knows how much that will be....I would have thought Tom Tom all told will cost about £100!

According to the reviews....yes. Works just like a normal Sat NAv.

How accurate is a 5 letter post code search? Does it get you in the general vacinity?

My mate has a *ahem* free copy of this - takes up LOADS of space on your iPhone. If you go for the Europe pack - it takes up around 4.5gig! If you install the European pack and only want UK, you can SSH onto your phone and remove the unwanted countries

looks the business and works very well.

has turn by turn and includes voice commands etc.

£100 tomtom..on iphone that is laughable

What I meant was about £50 for the app and about £50 for the dock (GPS booster and charger). Loved to be proved wrong though.

important to note that this is offline maps and you dont need to rely on 3g to download the maps!

what happens when you get a call while this app is running? does this still work in conjunction with the phone call? thanks in advance.
#17
does this work even if your not connected to 02,ie dont have any signal? as me and my m8s got lost and tom tom ran out of battery, signal was patchy since we were driving down single track lanes in wales!cheers

The TomTom will exit, and then presumably resume after the call ends. The API doesn't allow multiple applications to run simultaniously, unless Apple have given TomTom a special bunch of APIs.

It includes the maps, at around 1-2GB, it does not need a data link.

The phone app is running all the time, so when you load tomtom the phone app is running in the background anyway, otherwise you wouldn't receive a call would you!
