  Good for airtime If your PAYG and don't mind the wait for cashback, but the phone is literally worthless. These have sold for as little as 50p in recent months!

  Usually (I daren't say "always", just in case), phones from the Carphone Warehouse group of campanies come unlocked unless otherwise described.
  
  This is a rubbish phone but a good deal if you just want to get a working mobile. To give it its due, the battery life is brilliant, so it's ideal for a school-bag stand-by.
  
  Up until a few months ago, there seemed to be loads of cheap payg deals (wiith better rubbish phones) in the sub-£10 bracket from these companies. Anyone know what happened? And when was the payg cashback rate slashed? :(

  it does say the phone is unlocked and can be used on any network.
