HD 1080P Video
Audio Recording
Tiny, Lightweight & Portable
Ideal for RC Vehicles
Hobbyist Camera
he Mobius action camera is manufactured by the original and genuine maker of the ever popular 808 #16 key fob camera but is now available in the UK via Amazon.

This tiny and lightweight video recording device, which can also take photos, is completely portable and runs from the built in rechargeable battery, recordings are stored on a micro SD card (not supplied, 32G max). From a full charge the battery will last about 1 hour.

A Class 4 or above micro SD card is recommended.

It records in HD quality 1080P and in real time at 30fps (or 720P at 60fps) and also records audio with 3 different volume levels selectable plus the option to switch sound off completely.

There are various helmet, windscreen, cycle and tripod mounts (plus an in car charger and other accessories) available for the Mobius but it is supplied as standard with a mounting base & USB cable for linking to your PC or laptop.

The video format used is .MOV with the H.264 compression codec technique. When one video file is saved the next one will start with a 1 second overlap, so no lost video. You can choose between 5, 10, 15 minute or "max" file length settings. The device will stop, save and then continue recording a new clip. The "max" setting will keep recording until 4GB is used, this is to keep the files in manageable sizes, a new clip will then begin recording. You can, of course, also choose to just manually stop a recording using the buttons on the front of the Mobius.

You can also take photos and can use the time lapse feature to snap a still every 1-60 seconds should you wish to.

These features are all setup using the menu system, a link is supplied to access the menu system software as well as for downloading the instruction manual PDF. This link also give you access to the latest firmware, so as the manufacturer adds new features you will be able to download them to your device.

For its' size, the features available for the Mobius Action Camera are second to none and there are an abundance of information sites, forum discussions and videos on the web for you to browse through too.

When buying from Amazon UK you can be sure you are purchasing the 100% genuine product and not one of the myriad of copies on the market.

I think the problem with this is that you can get them off ebay for alot less - eg: here
ok, a longer wait + you may get 'additional charges'

The ebay seller says that they make the mobius camera.
Thats the problem...Its a much cloned & copied device. The Amazon on is genuine. You pays your money & you take your choice.

I bought mine for £40 through the "UK LINK HERE" link on Techmoan. It's genuine, read the article.

Mobius costs £40, not £60+ as many peeps charge. Cold, sorry.

I know some tiny action cams/spycams get copied - there's the MD80, which is a plastic and, in my experience, useless, version of the far superior Muvi Veho Micro.

I have both the Veho Micro and the Mobius and each has its strengths. Mobius has better video and indepth software but I use the Veho more as it hangs round my neck and points in the right direction.

I also had an MD80 and a 808 - apparently a genuine 808 - but both suffered from under performing batteries and were sent back.

No need to spend more than £40 on a Mobius. If you want the peace of mind of it being sold by & fulfilled by Amazon, then it may be worth paying the extra £24.

You can be sure of getting the genuine article if you buy from any of the Mobius-authorised vendors at...

I've used Mobius as a dashcam on a daily basis for over 8 months. Video quality is astonishly good, & audio quality is also good.

Just to put a small note of caution, I had two of these and both were totally random as to whether they connected through the multiple PCs/USB ports I tried, this is a well know fault and documented on the web, no idea why and no solution either it works or doesnt but trust me it is very annoying when it doesnt!

I have two of these & have never had any problems connecting them to my own PC, or to several other PCs. Your problem is NOT a Mobius fault, but rather a problem with your PC, USB cable, etc, etc.

Sorry but I don't think 4 PCs, multiple USB ports and at least 3 cables were all faulty, as I said look on the web loads of comments about möbius not working correctly/being recognised you were just lucky,

My experience is normal. You're unlucky. I've seen some people reporting PC connectivity issues, however, they're <1% of Mobius owners, & nearly all the problems relate to fake sd cards, faulty usb cables, PC usb port problems, failure to RTFM, etc, & are almost always resolved to the owners satisfaction when discussed at RCGroups, etc.

Your experience is not representative of the vast majority of owners, & shouldn't influence the judgement of people considering the purchase of what is a superb camera, backed by a manufacturer who continues to improve it with regular firmware upgrades, & which enjoys massive owner loyalty & support at RCGroups & DashCamTalk.

This is the actual manufacturers link, which guarantees no fake:

Hong Kong, but the 2 I've ordered never took more than 10 days.

Banggood occasionally have wide angle Mobius available from their UK warehouse for about £43, although it looks like they are currently out of UK stock, as only china warehouse is listed at the moment:- http://www.banggood.com/Mobius-Action-Camera-1080P-HD-Mini-Sports-Camera-Wide-Angle-Edition-p-917817.html The seem to sell out fairly quickly.

Thanks melted, just ordered the wide angle version from bang good for £43 (from the UK warehouse).

For that reason I'm afraid I'm going to have to vote cold for this deal though.

It is still not showing the UK Warehouse option under "Warehouse Options:" , so they must be out of stock at their UK warehouse, so make sure you don't order from their China Warehouse.

They've got no stock in their uk warehouse of the standard angle version at the moment either, best to contact them and ask when they'll have more available.

Strange, UK warehouse is showing as an option for me, and it let me select it and order from the UK warehouse earlier (http://www.banggood.com/Mobius-Action-Camera-1080P-HD-Mini-Sports-Camera-Wide-Angle-Edition-p-917817.html).

I guess I'll just have to wait and see if it turns up anytime soon.

That is odd! I even tried a different browser, but still only see china as an option for the mobius at the moment. I was able to select UK about a week ago & it showed delivery by Royal mail in the shopping cart :|

I guess it could be something to do with my IP address... Yes managed to change my ip address, that was the issue (_;), I'll contact Banggood about it, sorry for the confusion!

I think this really is out of stock from Banggood now.

The IP address issue for sky appears to be fixed.
