I for one am fed up with buying cheap knock offs that last five minutes.

Are these the real deal?

Probably not for £4.95.........

SanDisk Extreme PLUS (SDSQXWG-064G-ANCMA) V30 UHS-I

people need to first find out if there device will support SDXC(64gb+) or SDHC(32gb to 4gb) if their thinking about getting a bigger one than this. I did and it didn't work because it was just slightly too old. 2015 mid range phone

Are Mobymemory legit? There are a lot of fake memory cards, which is why I normally only buy from 7dayshop.
Definitely right to be cautious and you're right - there are alot of fake memory cards around.
Unfortunately, I can't answer your question other than pointing to their Companies House information:https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08775950/filing-historyhttps://www.duedil.com/company/08775950/newbay-trading-limited

Wouldn't dream of using this company. They are terrible. Ordered a phone case paid extra for quick delivery. It had a 3-5 day shipping date. It came a month and a half later and when it arrived the package was torn.

The customer service department was terrible and would not deal with the complaint. They ended up refunding me and asking me to send the product back after I said I was going to go to the Citizen Advice centre. Would 100% try and avoid if you can.

How is this even a hot deal, available at amazon for £7.75 - which makes this 48p cheaper but risk of being fake..
Also only £7.29 at Picstop... Amazon is usually more expensive than other places selling genuine stuff(memory cards)

ive used them plenty of times and have had no problems with their cards. all seem genuine. I literally ordered this card for myself a few days ago. I always run h2testw to test the capacity.

Better to test speed. Counterfeit cards tend to be a lot slower.
Just to add, I've ordered a fair few cards from MobyMemory and they've always been good. I've had a few Kingstons, which have all been original. I personally run my cards through h2testw to make sure they're not fake.

I've also bought their own brand and unlike the big brand cards, they're quicker than stated e.g. Usually if a big brand states Class 10, it'll always do 10MB/sec but barely anymore, however their own brand ones state class 10 but get 16+MB/sec write.

SDHC up to and including 32GB
SDXC over 32GB
When there is a 'SDXC' on a 16GB sd card then we have a fake one for sure. Anyway I have ordered several times from MobyMemory and they are alright. Just bear in mind the free delivery is probably 4-8 days from dispatch which means you need to add 2 or 3 extra days after you order. Last when I ordered I paid for Economy delivery, which is 3-5 days and it took over a week for parcel to arrive anyway. Just wanna warn you guys that they are very slow there. Good find OP.
Thanks.

Card arrived today so did a speedcheck on it ....pretty good speed...read speeds as advertised as up t 95 mb/s. Write speeds not as good (but that can be said of any card I have ever had) ....still when dragging stuff off the card onto the PC it will be a reasonably short time have posted a screen grab of crystal disk results done with the included USB3 adapter in the USB3 socket of goodish spec i5 PC

Anyone know if these will improve the performance of a raspberry pi?

NB quite a rew reviews saying the goods never arrived.
Yeh voodoo...I asume MLC is mid life crisis?...too old for text speak :)

I remember a post for a 64gb sandisk ultra at argos for £9.99 and I managed to get 2 ...was a brill price and it sold out almost immediatley...went balistic re hot on HUKD ...ok this is half the size but twice the speed but still a good buy...obviously my link is not unique though as amazon doing it for same price...well 5p cheaper...still am happy with price and card gets generally good reviews

Edited By: pubquiz on May 29, 2016 22:48
I believe this is MLC. Most cards in this price range are TLC garbage. It's being voted cold by people who don't understand the technical differences and are just looking at it from a price/GB. Sure, you can get 32GB cards cheaper, this is quite a bit better than those.

Edited By: voodooboard on May 29, 2016 17:40
weird I have had a message saying 10 people have voted hot yet it is at -17 degrees blue....does hukd only tell you about the hot votes...seems as many may have voted cold...dont know why unless its coz you could save 5p on the amazon deal

These items are exceptionally slow, regardless of USB3 spec (even the manufactuer chooses not to quantify transfer speed). Regarding the 128GB, you probably better off waiting for one of the tesco/amazon deal for 128GB Sandisk Ultra 80MB/s version for £30.

Samsung Evo+ is better, but I am not sure if it is worth 50% extra.

Perhaps it's a bit overpriced but I've been shopping specifically for a large capacity, fast card I can merge with the existing on-board memory on a new Samsung S7 Edge and forget about. This seemed best bang for the buck outside of ebay/asian resellers.

compared to the rest?
This is a good price for the model.

Samsung Evo Plus 128GB 24/75 MB/s. write/read.

7dayshop C10 64GB, 29/73 MB/s.

If do not mind a different brand, the 7dayshop 64GB is faster and cheaper at £11.

Reading the comments on the 7 day shop card on another deal, I'm not sure I'd trust precious memories to it. I also read they use rebranded Lexar cards that Lexar rejected as they railed QC. Concerning if true.

Do you have link to the comments about the card?

I am interested in reading it.

Thanks.

Sorry, it's a current 7 day shop microsd deal on here, didn't note which but a few chimed in to say their cards failed more than once. I dont remember where I heard the rumour they use lexar (or maybe it was delkin) rejects. I could be very wrong. Just wouldn't trust their cards with potential memories personally.

There you have it , got mine arrived today, a poor performer for similar money in my USB 3 setup when compared with Integral 64GB Ultima Pro 90MB/s Micro SDXC U1 Class 10 using the same configuration, refer to my other post for the Integral. Benchmarked twice using two difference USB 3 adaptors, as first one was so poor so I wanted to make sure using another adapter, just barely meeting minimum Class 10:

Why people always find the bad options, and they do not know it?
obviously cos cheapest
Who said it is cheapest. It is more expensive and worst performance. It is just simply bad choice. People really do not know what they are paying for. Is it cheaper or better value than any of the 4 I listed below?
If can do with 64GB, go for 7dayshop at £11.
If want 128GB, wait for Samsung Evo or Sandisk Ultra 80MB/S version at £30. They are here very often.
If cannot wait, go for Integral 128GB at around £24, faster too.
ah right, thought the integral was 64gb
would prefer toshiba brand to integral though
Just go with 10MB/s card if you really want it. I cannot stop you and it is your money anyway.
why assume i want to buy a slow card cos i reply to you?
silly assumptions
Because you keep arguing that this card is better. Seriously in what way?
If you want this particular card, that is just your choice. This card is a slower card and not cheaper, end of story.
no, i said i would prefer toshiba to integral as a brand
sure the performance may be lower but thats not the whole picture
I've only had SLOW usb drives from Toshiba. Hoped their sd cards would be better but the comments here reveal otherwise. This seems to be another case of trading tat off a reputable brand name. If you don't feel comfortable with integral, get a lexar.
In memory storage, I personally would not value Toshiba highly.
In this category, I value Samsung the highest, then Sandisk (only those products I know they are good, Sandisk have a lot of bad products too), then everything else.
yeah.. toshiba with their poor memory oO... who makes their memory chips?
who makes integrals memory chips?
Do not know, do not care. Not interest.
Only care if they have many good products offer to the public with their brands.
Only care this particular Toshiba Exceria is good or not.
oh you do not care? well i am sure it must be irrelevant then!
you didn't care to reply to the media post either - must be irrelevant then!
no answer? irrelevant point!you must listen to me - dont be dumb and buy toshiba - i dont rate them - i want to tell my story - i wont listen though - no free choice noooo (_;)
edit: report is the one to the left of the like button btw, i am sure calling people dumb is ok though... glass houses etc

I say, this is the slowest c10. Then you say it is the cheapest.

I reply it is not the cheapest, and give you a list of cheaper and faster cards. Then you say it isToshiba.

I reply if you want this card because it is Toshiba, it is your choice. And I moved on.

But you still not happy. Just keep on argue anything and everything, and seems got ruder and ruder. I have not been rude to you yet. You do not deserve that.

I have no interest in what you say anymore. I do not want to waste any time on your pointless arguments.

I ignored you now. Without your comments, the world is so much more peaceful.

If I had to put a bet on it I would say fake because it has plastic wrapping on lead and not paper

Thanks OP, I'm going for this - if it turns out to be fake, I'll go through the necessary steps.

How did they go? Still working?
Looks pretty real to me.

Ordered one, will report how it goes - whether it is genuine or fake like the ones on ebay

They will be fake like eBay. They sell the 99 pence ones for £5 to make them seem legit. I would be suppressed if they last a month. Not trying to be an ass but it's a false economy when you could spend £1-2 more and get an MFI Aukey or Anker one.

That would about equate right, as the Pound has fallen against the Euro by about the same percentage from that low price of £54.83 compared to this deal (Wavemaster is a German company and the speakers are no doubt priced in Euros) at £56.31
