I've been looking for this book at various stores and came across it for £4.99 delivered for free with the code 198FREE. It was only released on 18/09/09 and next cheapest I can find is £7.48 at Amazon, with other stores at £10+.

Packed with enough jokes to fill a whole new series, Mock the Week: This Year's Book! is a brand new collection of near-the-knuckle humour and timely and topical witticisms from one of TV's most popular shows. With a host of laugh-out-loud one liners throughout, categories include Bad Things to Hear on Waking Up, Unlikely Dictionary Definitions and Cards You Never See in a Newsagent's Window. Ideal for dipping into or reading from cover to cover!

Anyone tuning in for it tonight.

gutted Frankie wont be there as he got ill before the show but it promises to be as good as always. Hugh and Russell are top notch comedians.

Oh and David Mitchell is on tonight as well. Makes it all the better.

David Mitchell is such a smug pleased-with-himself smart**** though! Can't stand the stuck up twit.

Love all the rest though!

I've got the first one, and it's hilarious

If Frankie isnt on ,it will be poor --Russell talking about animals doing magic tricks , Hugh doing Prince Charles impressions and that bald tw*t saying 'err' alot (just like the Mick who presents it) .
David Mitchell is good though :) , very handsome.

David Mitchell must of got battered at High School. He has a face and a demeanor that almost promotes punching him.

Definatly gonna be funny if it's anything like the show

I disagree with your comments about Hugh and Russell. They are super funny! Russell in stand-up is genius.

Still im gutted that they have took out News Reel, that used to be one of my fave parts of the show. Hugh used to do such a good job of it. Whether it be Prince Charles, Philip or even Boris Johnson.

Look at the link, you will laugh your socks off:

love that show!

Is this book actually written by the show regulars?

The last Mock the Week book wasn't. The only writer's name I recognised from the list was Hugh's old collaborator Steve Punt.

Gr8 find !!!!,,,,, many thx.... Just ordered 2 4 Xmas 4 kidz

Mine arrived today, along with three other books that I ordered in two lots. All four hardbacks were sent in two large jiffy bags, rather than wraparound cardboard like Amazon uses. Unsurprisingly, two of the four books are badly dented and bashed. What a waste of my time and their money having to return them for replacement.

Why do some booksellers skimp on packaging to save pennies at the expense of pounds wasted on refunds and replacements?
