lovehot water pressure is down to your system not the shower, however the incorrect spec of shower can kill good pressure. if its a gas combi, fully modulating then a thermo valve is not the best option, as the valve will be working against your system however it will work. as ever you gets what you pay for, if I was selling my house then might consider it, but not if it were for mr

Hi ozskins,
Thanks for the reply, mine is Gas combi, then I've to think twice

I've found the cheap thermo mixers never seem to last long. 2/3 years and something goes. I work in a hotel and we refurbished a couple of rooms around 2 years ago and put cheaper than the normal showers around this price. All have had issues and have needed parts where as the mira showers fitted nearly 10years ago still work perfectly and none have had any issues.

The old grohe avensys made in canada and german were great, but sadly grohe are pants compared to what they used to be. Personally I would look at hudson reed/ultra. and no i dont work for them, but have supplied them for years and tech support is great.

not surprised they stop working if its in a hotel, how many people are using it. Mine is great, we had a gas one and its not different and the gas one was more expensive

we have a combi boiler the worcester bosch mini and it works fine, we did have an old gloworm combi before and still worked fine. we've had it nearly 3 years. Not sure about fitting problems as we had our ensuite revamped and put this in, but from what i could see he used the same pipe work we had in already and the other shower had been in a few years.

We stopped using the other shower as it kept leaking and we started to rip it out so hadnt ben used for about 5 years but it had gone tarnished etc as it was a copper colour this has not altered .

Not sure if its the same but it does have a thermostatic control valve like the one on amazon has (they do look the same)

Don't buy this Chinese crap! I'm a plumber and have had no end of grief with people's eBay 'bargains', so much so I now refuse to fit them.

Get a mira
