The pic is of £5 off £20 in Dec when you buy something over £50 in Nov - they'll email the info http://1.2.3.9/bmi/www.wilkinsonplus.com/content/ebiz/wilkinsonplus/page/specials/fivebanner-left.jpg

Looks like they had a black one previously for the same price here that looked quite nice

The black version of this one is £300 in Argos - item 417/2769. Looks like there's a RC for it.

EDIT: Well its not exactly the same but not far off

How much do these things cost to run?

I have central heating but can't seem to get some rooms in the house very warm

looks good - after one of these, there's a couple at tj hughes for not much more but this one looks good. Bit worried about the weight - I only rent and take it you'd need some major screws in the wall to hang this on? Can see my damage deposit vanishing!

The box is MASSIVE btw - for anyone thinking of collecting in store! Once its out of the box the actual fire isnt that heavy. Not up on our wall yet - but the instructions are very simple and clear on how to hang.

We have a huge mirror on the wall that weighs more than this fire so not anticipating too many problems when it goes up!

Great deal but i have seen this in Poundstretcher for £85.It obviously caught my eye until the young 'i hate my job' cashier told me they are rubbish and lots have been returned.Put me straight off! Stafford Retail Park where Gala bingo is.

Saw the one in Poundstretcher as they always have it - and its nothing like this one. The Poundstretcher one looks like it came from Poundstretcher. Been looking for a new fire for past month - this one from Wilkinsons is absolutely gorgeous and the mirror effect just sets it off lovely!

This looks fantastic BUT is is quiet in operation? From what I can see it is not an electric fire and obviously the "flame effect" is just that and has nothing to do with what actually gives out heat in the unit but is the heating part of this fan based or convection based?

Also can you "just" have the flame effect on with no heating coming out of it? Like the old two bar electric fires with the lighted coal effects from the 1970s ?!

We have great central heating and this has been bought more for how its gonna look when hung on wall and to be the main focal point in our living room. It does have the option to have only the light on and also when on its hot air blowing out - reckon it would be like most of these heaters - quiet but you can hear the air coming out if you know what I mean!

Picked it up yesterday, took it out the box to check it. Looks great, remote control is a plus. Will hang it up in the new year. £90 is a bargain. Surprised its not hotter. 24 left in stock.
