Turn your existing headphones in to a gaming headset. I saw a lot of recent posts/reviews on youtube about the low quality of the mid-range gaming head sets. (The Steelseries v200 posted a few days ago has bad mic / average sound) I decided against it even thou it was a good price.

So if like me you have a good decent pair of headphones (ATH-M50x) add this clip on mic and use it as a headset with better audio / mic sound.

Jay does a good review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePJvAyHOW6w

or if you prefer Linus

Let me know what you think?

They're always this price.

BTW don't get the omnidirectional if you use a keyboard or mouse. It picks up sounds from all directions. The standard version is really good at cancelling out the noise of my mechanical keyboard.

Yes not 100% a deal but awareness none the less as i only just found out about it also. So i'd guess others didnt know either. Omni has better sound range than the uni

Optimus toaster makes a very good point just improve the unidirectional mic not change it to omnidirectional makes very little sense on a mic for a headset unless you can change the setting

This is the first time I've seen a UK sources/shipped ModMic at RRP mind you. I hadn't looked for a few months though.

Imo too expensive for a clip on mic. The prices of these need to drop a bit if they want more sales.
