A brilliantly fun racer that everyone can enjoy. The game features endless amounts of customizing options.

Product Details - ModNation Racers is the newest installment to PlayStation’s innovative Play, Create and Share genre. ModNation Racers is a thoroughly fresh take on classic kart racing that empowers the player to personalize their entire game.

Players can express themselves by creating their own Mod character, styling their own racing kart and even building – in just minutes – an imaginative track that can be shared with the rest of the PlayStation community via the free PlayStation Network service. The easy-to-use editing studio tools make this creative process accessible to players of all levels. Not feeling creative? ModNation Racers presents a humorous story with a wealth of pre-made characters, karts, tracks and challenges for all players.

Features of ModNatin Racers on PS3 include:

* Customized Karting Experience – Whether the player is a race car driver, a newcomer to videogames or an aspiring game developer, they can show their talents off in ModNation Racers. The power of creation is in the player’s hands.
* Accessible Creation Tools – ModNation Racers includes easy creation tools in the Track Studio, Character Studio and Kart Studio that allow the player to design something comprehensive and fun in a matter of minutes. Players can invest minimal time and enjoy basic creating, or they can invest more time and make sure every lake, mountain, banked turn and power-up is placed perfectly.
* Classic Kart Racing Action – ModNation Racers delivers exceptional kart handling and physics technology on PS3 that makes for fast and fun racing. Players can drift their karts around corners, boost for more speed, attack opponents with weapons and interact with the world around them.
* Story Campaign – The humorous story of ModNation Racers sees the player rise up to become an elite racer. The narrative, tutorials, challenges, and rewards reveal all the key features.
* Game Modes – In addition to the Story Campaign, other single and multiplayer player modes will let players show off their skills in varied challenges with their favorite characters and karts.
* Extensive PlayStation Network Options – Features include matchmaking, detailed stats and leaderboards, Friends List management, communication tools, etc.
* Vinyl Art Style – Inspired by urban vinyl art, ModNation Racers sports a stylish and attractive look and design for young and old players alike.

* Vote for the Best – Players can participate in the karting community in ModNation Racers by voting on any creation as they view it and race it Attacking and Offensive Driving – Winning the race is only half of the fun! Players can use combat-like racing strategies to attack other karts with an array of dramatic weapons. For those interested in focusing solely on racing, ModNation Racers has a Pure Race mode.
* Trophy Support – ModNation Karting supports a host of fun and challenging trophies to collect along the way.

Haven't voted either way, but surely it's better to buy a new sealed copy for just 3 more quid -

I disagree because every pre owned game I've purchased for the PS3 has been in like new condition. And I've bought LOADS of pre owned games. I'd understand if it was on 360 because the discs seem to scratch and get damaged a lot easier.
Save yourself 3 quid.

Rather get card points from game.

And couldn't justify paying 3 quid more for a piece of plastic wrapping that'll go straight in bin

Same as, it's because blu Ray discs are scratch resistant where as xbox DVDs arent

Fair enough. Blu rays are scratch resistant, after all. I just figured some people might prefer a new one for an extra small amount.

i'd rather not give my money to GAME. i'd rather spend more elsewhere. You cant justify something being second hand and just only a FEW pounds cheaper than buying new - how does that work? 2nd hand products only lose a few quid value? I don't think so! If you was looking for a game on here and the poster was selling their game a few quid cheaper than if you got in the shops brand new, would you really go for it?

People like yourselfs who see shiny cards and "rewards" for using them are getting conned.

Once you've spent £100's of pounds you get a £2.50 off - WOOOHHOOOO!!!!

Just don't spend your hard earned cash on a corperation that gobbles up any decent competition (GAMESTATION) and then stiffles the market for a few quid saving once every 1 year!

/rant over.

Simply because if the value of the second hand game was much lower than a new copy the new copy would be further devalued and therefore the price would not hold as well as it does and therefore retailers would shoot themselves in the foot and kill the market for new games entirely whereas by offering a smaller discount it offers the consumer a choice between the 2 products that is not so far apart as to make it pointless in buying a new copy. How is that actually hard to understand? Basic economics.

Totally agree- however people are their own worst enemy and can easily create a false market. Housing is a top example and then just about everything else in Britain.

its not hard to understand from a company point of view ... However am not a company. I am a consumer, therefore I am looking after my own interest's and not faceless shareholders.

The only reason this happens is because we allow it. If we stopped buying 2nd hand games from companys for a few pounds cheaper than the new version, minus the £10 DLC code, then would they carry on selling these games at high prices? I don't think so. again would you buy a game from a mate/on here for a few quid less than a brand new version? no you wouldn't you'd look at cex website and post links of prices from a website with the prices within a few pounds. Would you accept that? no you'd offer half that, everyone does.

How is this a good deal for the consumer? its not.

Where did I say it was a good deal for a consumer - regardless its the way things are and good luck with getting people to stop buying 2nd hand games til the price of new ones drop to a price you find acceptable...

Now where can I buy that Porsche for £17 new.

let me know when you find it. i'll buy it for £34 brand new :D

You didnt say it was a good deal for the consumer but you attempted to justify it - that can only be done via a company point of view as this currently model of trade in/preowned games isn't in the consumers best interest.

I'm not trying to start a movement, as unfortunately like german tourists the stupid are everywhere, i am merely voicing my view.

The current model of trade in games isn't really in anyones best interests in one regard - i.e the developers receive no additional funding for the additional sales of the same game therefore are going to make less money, therefore more chance of developers not bothering to make future games due to lack of first point sale - that is not good for gamers and therefore not good for consumers in general in that regard because there will be less games to buy and less development spent on those games that there are - not everything is so black and white dude...

thats my point. only companys like GAME, CEX benefit from trade ins due to the prices they charge for the games and low value given on trades.

Still Valid :o)
