Went to my local Sainsburys this morning and spotted bottles of M?& Chandon Brut Vintage Champagne at £20.00 per bottle reduced from £39.99 plus the bonus of a discount of 5% if you buy 6. Bargain!!!

Description;

Moet & Chandon 1743 Epernay France.

BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II PURVEYORS OF CHAMPAGNE.

Each Grand Vintage is a unique creation, an expression of an exceptional year by the Chef de Cave of Moet & Chandon, Grand Vintage 2003. the 68th Vintage from the Maison, which was founded in 1743, is a wine of extraordinary character. 2003 was a special year; a spectacular spring frost and an unusually hot summer resulted in the earliest harvest on record. Grand Vintage 2003 is an assertive wine that distinguishes itself by its intense fruitiness with its notes of apricot, vanilla and liquorice, a spicy maturity and an alluring warmth, creating a wine of sumptuous opulence.

I'm not a big chammpagne drinker but got bought a bottle of vintage Moet and have to say that it was very nice.

Also, don't forget to pronounce the 't' in Moet!

I thought it was pronounced Mowet?? Anyhow can't vote on this as it's champagne in the face of an economic crisis.

Great deal - I think I'll buy a case to celebrate the 2 quid I saved on a video game yesterday!

Well, I'll buy a case to celebrate the house being repossessed. Just a joke, of course. But this is definitely a luxury product in harsh times.

Is this nationwide?

good price for excellent champagne....
#7
Quick question, does it come in that box? A nice representable box :) ?

Anyone confirm if this is nation wide? I just ordered a couple cases of LP at £25 a bottle for a party and thought that was an ok price...

He was French, but had a Dutch surname ;-) .

Anyway, may grab myself a case if they have any left after work.

It should do. The Vintage always comes in a presentation box. I've got two that I've kept in my kitchen just to make me look sophisticated.

Which Sainsbury's did you grt this offer at. Just went to my local Sainsbury's and not only do they not have it on offer, they told me it wasn't going to be on offer in the near future and its not in any of my local stores. Don't mind driving if its not particularly far as its a very good offer

This makes it cheaper than the going price for NV. An absolute bargain if nationwide, but IMHO Moet (NV) is too acidic, I'd rather have Canard-Duchene any day if it has to be the real McCoy but I'm still working through my lake of HUKD's £3 M&S Cava from Xmas

Direct link to product for info (online price is thier normal price)

Full price in Cobham too. :-(

Checked all over Cheshire - looks like one local store the OP found it in only, as no-one else has got one?

It does surprise me when a one off like this gets so hot.

Full price in my store - Warrington

Full price in Norwich too. Just wasted a lunch hour walking there and back, therefore sorry but I'm voting this cold.
