I used a controller like this to play Crash Bandicoot on my PSX emulator when I was flying to the US.

Works this work with GTA games?
it will work on both . i have the moga pro and a xperia z and it worked on snes and gta . if your phone is rooted you could map on screen buttons with tincore keymapper.

Will be good once steam streaming comes to android next year. Skyrim on my moto g would be quite cool

I have the moga pro power, trust me when I say it makes the games so much better the build quality is as good as the xbox one or ps4 pad I have had no connection problems it works with san andreas and other quality games like asphalt 8 and dead trigger 2 and it cost me just under £38 but its now 34 at game.co.uk. I haven't tried this version of it but at £17 with free delivery seems a steal even tempted myself seeing how they are so portable no I must resist :)

Can you change buttons? Android is poor with custom configuring of buttons.

Well genius don't feel obliged to let us know if it improved your gaming experience and would be worth buying.

Use one of these with my HTC One. Great little thing to have for playing emulators

Looks to be out of stock direct from Amazon (available in 2-4 weeks), at this price (£17).

Surely this means 3.2" wide phones, not 3.2" screen size which is measures from corner to corner diagonally.

yeah, the note 2 is roughly 6" by 3.2" so that makes sense :)

Hot for me as not seen it cheaper but personally I went for the iPEGA PG-9021 which is only ~£14 on Amazon (got mine of eBay) as it's more like holding an Xbox controller and is great quality for the price. All of these gamepads MOGA/iPega work very well with the Android PSP emulator (PPSSPP plays pretty much all PSP games and it's free).

These are really good and well worth the money. I went for the Pro version as it's a little larger so it's more comfortable to use. The pivot app is ok for those apps that don't support it directly, but to be honest it's worth trying most games anyway as they may work without the app.

I use mine mainly for emulators, so Megadrive, Gameboy Advance, SNES and of course MAME4droid. They are so much better to control than on screen controls, and when folded up it's reasonably compact.

Bear in mind that a lot of games really use up battery, on average I get a couple of hours gaming out of a fully charged Galaxy S2. The Pro controller comes with an onboard battery that can extend it, but you're never going to get DS or PSP playing times.

This little thing is awesome. Also if a game isn't supported by the Pivot app, you can get moga universal driver and use it for any games that support a controller (please note that you will need root to utilize this because you need root to use the joysticks)

These things have killed multiplayer on phones. What's the point of playing when you have a spare ten minutes when the guy you're playing is probably sat in front of a tv with proper controller?

Jump on a console or pc if you want a home experience, stop killing multiplayer for normal people that don't carry controllers everywhere with them :p

I've had mine a few months since the last time it was posted on hotuk. It's a great little device. Had it originally on my Galaxy Note 1 and then Note 3 when I upgraded recently ... both fantastic. The centre pulls out to grab your phone and snaps back elastically to grip it, very elegant. Build quality is excellent.

I really like the idea of this but I am reading mixed reports on what games are compatible. I can see me using it mainly for emulation and I struggle to get on with touch screen controls. I'm not techie in the slightest and don't want to be messing around with rooting or whatever it's called! I just want something that is plug and play...someone convince me one way or the other please!

As an alternative that is a few quid cheaper, is this any good Your text here

I've had nothing but issues with this on my note 2. Wifi and bluetooth disconnections etc. It's just enough hassle not to be worth it.

For me it worked with Mupen64plus, with goldeneye being pretty playable. Couldn't get it to recognise in retroarch, but I maybe didn't try hard enough.

Do you have to physically connect the device to the phone?

Wanted a joypad for my asus memo tablet.

No, but if there is a game that isn't (currently) supported, then you can try to use the moga universal driver app to force it to work as a generic controller. This would require root.

No. This uses bluetooth. However the more expensive controllers use either bluetooth or usb

Then you don't have a good phone or tablet.

These things are invaluable for emulators. Why carry loads of portable gaming systems when you can have just a phone and every emulator pre-PS2 era on one device?

And before the piracy crew step in, there is nowhere other than the odd title on PSN for PSP that allows you to legally buy these things. eBaying used goods is just as bad as downloading illegally, as the developer and publisher see no money for their work whatsoever. Neither way is right, but as I say, no legal alternative to playing the vast majority of these titles on older handhelds and legacy consoles.

Also, I'd save up a bit extra for the full sized moga pro power. The battery pack adds an extra 3 hours or so play time on my note 3 :)

That has nothing to do with these controllers. It's down to the broken software Shamsung pushes to their devices twice a year.

Root it and flash a custom stock rom that has been cleaned out and had the bugs squished. Its a far more pleasant experience.

can you use it with android sticks like the mk808?

Just use controllers4all on cydia (I don't know if their is an android equivalent), and you can connect a dualshock 3/4 to the phone and play any game with that. E.g. GTA SA

The Sonic CD download code no longer works. I got this from GAME instore for £14.99 and it is a great bit of kit. Only problem is the Customer Service is near to non existent and don't answer your queries or problems for weeks or sometimes never even get back to you. They wrote saying the promotion codes for Sonic CD are no longer valid for anyone and gave no explanation.

Any ideas on how to use a ps3 pad on my asus HD memo pad without root?

Want to use it for emulators.
