They can only hound you if you let them. I've never been to one, but an uncle has done a few and said he just tells them at the start he's about to go to prison for fraud and all of his assets are tied up by the courts so this was the only way he could afford a last holiday.

As I'd be away with kids though I'm not sure I'd want the hassle.
Petchey Leisure deal with Timeshres/holiday clubs. Wonder what the chances are you get hounded into having to attend a presentation whilst you are staying there.

I found out that a mate's girlfriend actually bought some of these vouchers as a Father's Day surprise when he called me up to ask me if I knew what the circuit was like. He wasn't happy when I told him that it didn't exist and that he should contact the site he bought the vouchers from (MoneySuperMarket). To be fair, they did refund him and also compensated him by giving him twice the money back for the vouchers plus a voucher for an experience at another genuine kart circuit. So, if you have been scammed by this, my advice is to contact the site where you bought the vouchers and ask for a refund. I notice that the Speedy Kart website has now been closed down.
Brought 4 ticketts for croydon london and turn up to the place it was a go karting venue but the guy who owned it had no idea of speedy kart, and said he had other people turn up and had to tell yhem sorry wrong place, so this site has sacmmed me big time
I bought 15 of these for a big family get together. arrived at the "southwark location", no karting venue for miles, stressful... stressful day.

On the brightside, i was contacted by mightdeals (company advertised) which gave us an option for reimbursement or go to another karting venue F1K.
Complete scam, as the guy said myself and 9 others turned up to a derelict industrial estate to find it all closed up and no sign of a karting place
This is a complete scam do not book or pay anything the track address was just a run down industrial estate. These people need stringing up they have ruined my girl friends 21st

I would just like to say that me and my wife used this hotel for our honeymoon and it was excellent.. The food was amazing and different every night, The staff were very very friendly and polite, Its a 5 min drive to the port which is lively most nights and the hotel beach is clean and very peaceful... I paid a lot more then the price quoted above for my holiday and enjoyed every minute

Dan

And how long have you worked for them then ?

I agree, a holiday is what you make it, I have been to Tunisia 3 times and I adore it.
If you go with the correct information and attitude it is beautiful, what people tend to do is go naive and then have a shock!
Tunisia is a poor country so sellers are pushy and quite blunt (but not what I would call rude, in fact made some amazing friends out there) but if you learn the Arabic for no thank you ("La Shukran") they will usual not bother you any more, also the water is undrinkable (This includes brushing teeth) if you are careful and use (the very cheap) bottled water available and make sure any water you buy is sealed again no D&V. The food is extremely cheap if you go to traditional restaurants and actually very good.

This is an excellent deal and I am sad I can't take advantage of it, go full of information and you will have a wonderful time. :D

No I don't think its rude at all to harrass holidaymakers as they stroll leisurely down the road , I find it also quite agreable when they grab your 5 year old child and usher them into their shop in order to lure you in to buying something .... superb tactics , maybe we could adopt the same tactics over here in the UK - Oh wait we have trading laws and human rights over here so scrap that idea !!!
realfriendlyman
I suppose it depends on where and which hotel you stay at, as some people advised us against sharm el Sheikh last summer but we had our best holiday yet.

We were told there's nothing to do and the food is terrible, while people are rude but we ignored the people, stayed at a brilliant hotel with nice food and did loads of excursions, such as parasailing, snorkling in some of the best seas in the world, crocodile and snake shows, quad biking, semi submarines, smoked shisha, camel rides, stargazing in the dessert and even had a aqua park at our hotel.

What I'm saying is, a holiday is what you make of it.

Whilst I agree a holiday is what you make it 'MOST' of the time , when you get food poisoning it's kinda difficult to enjoy your holiday no matter how much effort you put in to to making it a great holiday ;)

We stayed at the Phenicia in Tunisia last year after lookig at the good reviews on trip advisor.....http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g297943-d316530-Reviews-SENTIDO_Phenicia-Hammamet_Nabeul_Governorate.html

Think I must have gone to a different hotel because it was not very nice, will stick to 5 star Turkey like the last 10 years, always fantastic service and usually 24 food and drink including branded drinks. I have booked it and the room they gave me is actually an executive double :) not the standard double , i know on late rooms the standard double is 85 but executive is 120
Nice place but I thought the deal was for the Grosvenor in Chester which is superb, but gutted it just for the one in Pulford. The rooms can normally be had for cheaper than this through late rooms (if you ask the receptionist she tells you to book through a site as its cheaper) but heat for the £50 meal voucher as Ciro's is very good.
Sunday carvery is lovely too if you stay Saturday night...
seems good for a night away

Much, thanks :). You obviously have something against the 10% of people in Birmingham who come from Pakistan.
Even IF people from Pakistan aren't interested in Brazilian cuisine then I dont think the choice of Birmingham is a bad one.

Don't be fooled by the list price. Just checked pricing on this hotel a room in high season, i.e. August, can be found for £200 a week. Still cheap, but nothing like the saving they claim.
When or if you buy the "voucher" you must remember THEY CHOOSE WHEN YOU CAN GO.......you have to go on a friday,so looking for a cheaper flight is much more difficult, prepare to be brainwashed by proffesional timeshare sales staff, (they only work on commision).....given the above, they still want you to go,but on their terms only.
If you still decide to go then have a good time and i wish you the best of luck.
Just read some of the reviews of this place on tripadvisor and it seems either the noise from the aircraft flying over the resort, the hardness of the beds, the lack of cleaning/towel changes or shortage of sun beds around the pool were bigger irritants than the timeshare presentation and tour of the resort.

Also checked the normal price for a week in this place during May and June and £129 is only a saving of between £40 - £60 on the price you can pay without the need to attend any timeshare presentations !

Edited By: Robbo11 on Apr 19, 2012 22:55: .
timeshare reps can hardly be more annoying than those trying to sell you chains

22 people will not have had theirs yet due to the fact that have bought the voucher from money supermarket and as yet not redeemed it. Are you one of the 22? In any event contact the people you have paid (money supermarket) and i am sure the will be most helpful.

Still not had this? What is going on?
No word back from the “money supermarket” either! I suspect that’s forty quid down the drain — if it doesn’t get here soon I’ll no longer be able to apply it to the iPad in question, so it’ll be useless to me.
Still nothing’s arrived.

They might be expensive but they're great sunglasses and £99 for designer shades really isn't bad. I bought a pair of M-frames 15 years ago which cost more than twice as much, sold them on Ebay to someone in the US for the same price 7 years later.
They're great for sport, road and mountain biking. I like, thanks for posting :)
Never wear anything but Oakley's and neither do squaddies on tours of duty..... There's a damn good reason for that, do your homework before voting cold.
