Monitor Audio Vector AV 5.1 home cinema speaker system £299.90 at Peter Tyson AV
I spotted these while looking for a set of 5.1 speakers and thought it was worth posting on here.
You get two pairs of Monitor Audio Vector 10 speakers for the front and rear, the Vector 20 centre and VW-8 subwoofer plus a reel of half decent speaker cable.
Mine turned up yesterday and the build quality is excellent and they sound lovely - vastly better than you'd expect for £300.
Original retail price was somewhere between £600 and £700 and it shows.
Here's a review of them when they were twice the current price.

A big thumbs up to the retailer as well - next day delivery for free with tracking updates sent by email and text message to my phone.

Jump to unread Post a CommentAnyway, they may have been this price before, but for anyone looking for a set of speakers now they are still a very good buy and well worth a look.
I'd listened to a couple of sets around this price in Richer Sounds and these are most definitely a big step up in quallity.
Lot's have things have been posted before, still a deal now !
Sure. They don't look too hard to drive, so any basic 6 channel (or more) AV would power these nicely.
Yes, absolutely.
Anyway, good deal.

I have a larger range from Monitor Audio = RX12AV and they are superb.
IMO monitor audio are a very good speaker manufacturer.
The only issue that stopped me buying them was the size of the centre channel, I had nowheere to put it!
i was a first time bought yamaha rx671 to go with it. If you are looking for airplay go for denon around the same price whicg would be a handy. For me I have an HTPC hooked on. I made it 7.1 by adding two bronze floor standing speakers for FL and FR.
Are there any recommended receivers?
Thanks for the response
